Pitlick was a late addition to the Wild lineup on Monday, slotting in for Marcus Foligno (illness). He will skate with Vinnie Hinostroza and Nico Sturm on Minnesota's fourth line.

Pitlick scored a goal in Minnesota's previous game, a 7-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers, but he will head to the sidelines as a healthy scratch on Monday. The 34-year-old forward has two goals in 29 games this season.

Wild head coach John Hynes mentioned the Wild were dealing with some game-time decisions for Monday night's game, though it appears Pitlick is the only one unavailable. Daemon Hunt will draw into the lineup in his place.

Minnesota added a veteran presence on Wednesday after signing 33-year-old forward Tyler Pitlick to a two-year, two-way contract. Pitlick last appeared in 34 games in the NHL with New York in 2023-24, but spent the entirety of the 2024-25 with Providence (AHL), where he had 21 goals, 46 points and 34 PIMs across 59 games played.

Pitlick has 420 games of NHL experience, scoring 109 points (56G / 53A), but has almost exclusively spent the previous two season in the AHL. The 33-year-old Pitlick has 33 points (16G / 17A) in 43 games with the Providence Bruins (AHL) this season.

After playing five straight for the Rangers, Pitlick was a healthy scratch on Monday before being placed on waivers on Tuesday. Adam Edstrom replaced Pitlick in the lineup on Monday. In 34 games this season, Pitlick has four points (1G / 3A) while averaging 10:12 time-on-ice.
