Pitlick left the Rangers' previous game vs. Carolina after just 6:58 TOI due to a lower-body injury and is now considered out week-to-week. The 32-year-old has struggled offensively in 2023-24, with only a goal, two assists, 28 SOG, four PIMs and a -1 plus/minus in 28 games prior to his injury. Pitlick will be replaced by top prospect Brennan Othmann in the Rangers' lineup which he is on the mend.
Pitlick had seven goals, nine assists, 54 SOG, 14 PIMs and a -1 plus/minus through 61 games with St.Louis in 2022-23 and has signed a one-year contract with the New York Rangers worth $785,500. The 31-year-old centre is joining his eighth NHL team and has 55 goals and 105 points across 386 games and nine NHL seasons.
Pitlick was a healthy scratch for the Blues' previous game but will draw into the lineup Thursday as a replacement for Hugh Mcging.

Pitlick was selected by Seattle in the Expansion Draft on Wednesday but was quickly flipped to the Flames for a fourth-round pick. After one season with the Flyers, Pitlick hit the open market, signing a two-year deal with the Coyotes. Pitlick provides very little offence but has good size (6-foot, 200 lbs) and fills an important role in the Coyotes' bottom-6. Pitlick led all Flyers' forwards with 132 hits while chipping in 20 points (8G / 12A) in 63 games.
Pitlick missed the last two games but will replace Chris Stewart in the lineup vs. Buffalo. Pitlick, who has just six points (2G / 4A) in 28 games this season, will skate on the fourth line with Mikhail Vorobyev and Andy Andreoff.
