Postava has been recalled under emergency conditions from Grand Rapids (AHL).

John Gibson was forced to leave Thursday's contest with an upper-body injury so Michal Postava has been recalled from Grand Rapids (AHL) under emergency conditions. With Detroit in the midst of their playoff hunt and with only a few games left, Postava is not expected to see any time as he backs up Cam Talbot.

Detroit has recalled Michal Postava from Grand Rapids (AHL) under emergency conditions.

With Cam Talbot battling an undisclosed injury, the Red Wings have opted to recall Postava from the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL). Postava has been excellent in his first AHL season, posting a 1.86 GAA and .932 SV% in 21 games (13-6-0), but his recall is somewhat surprising given that Grand Rapids' starting goalie, Sebastian Cossa, is largely considered to be the Red Wings' goalie-of-the-future.
