Miller exited Sunday's 4-3 win over the New Jersey Devils late in the first period because of a lower-body injury and he has subsequently been placed on Injured Reserve. Miller was a surprise addition to the Jets lineup on Friday after Neal Pionk was announced as a late scratch due to an illness. Miller will skate with Dylan Samberg on Winnipeg's second pair.


Miller played 12:48 TOI in last Sunday's game in Utah, but will come out of the lineup on Saturday vs. the Wild. Luke Schenn will draw back into the lineup to replace Miller.


Elias Salomonsson and Neal Pionk (lower body) will return to the Jets' blueline on Wednesday against the Canadiens, resulting in Luke Schenn and Colin Miller being healthy scratches. The 33-year-old Miller has not played much this season, but drew into five straight games because of Pionk's injury.



Luke Schenn will draw back into Winnipeg's lineup on Friday against the San Jose Sharks, sending Miller to the press box as a healthy scratch. The 33-year-old Miller has been used sparsely this season, averaging only 11:32 time-on-ice through four games this season.




Haydn Fleury (lower body) is day-to-day and will not play on Monday, allowing Miller to draw into the lineup for his season debut. The 32-year-old Miller played 60 games with the Jets last season, averaging 14:31 time-on-ice and scoring 15 points (4G / 11A).


Miller will slot in for Dylan DeMelo, who was a late scratch with an undisclosed injury. Miller appeared in 60 games this season, logging four goals and 11 assists.


Miller did not play Winnipeg's previous game due to and will be held out of the lineup again on Monday against the St. Louis Blues. The 32-year-old defenseman is averaging 14:25 time-on-ice and has 14 points (4G / 10A) in 59 games this season.
