Hart surrendered three goals on 27 shots in the Flyers loss in Columbus on Thursday. It was the first regulation loss of the season for Hart, who is now 6-1-2 while ranking fifth in the NHL in GAA (2.09) and first in SV% (.941). Today he'll face a Senators team that ranks ninth in the NHL in xGF/60 (3.36).

Hart was unexpectedly scratched from Tuesday's game late due to an illness forcing Felix Sandstrom to have to take the start in a 5-1 victory over St. Louis. He is having an exceptional season, ranking second in the NHL in SV% (.946) and third in GAA 1.97 while posting a 6-0-2 record.

Hart allowed four goals on 38 shots in the Flyers overtime loss to the Hurricanes on Saturday. It was Hart's first loss of the season, moving him to 5-0-1 with a sparkling .938 SV%. Hart will be under siege again on Tuesday when he faces a Rangers team that is fifth in the NHL in SOG/60 36.2 and third in xGF/60 (3.88).

Hart was basically unbeatable his last time out stopping 31 of 32 shots in a 3-1 victory over Nashville. If the Vezina were to be presented today, Hart would have a hard time not winning it as he ranks fourth in SV% (.949) and fifth in GAA (1.75) while still yet to lose a game through four starts (4-0-0). He faces Florida at home who lost their last game 4-2 against Chicago on Tuesday and should see their fortunes change as they are 7th in SOG (34.9) but 21st in league goals (3.0).

Carter Hart will look to keep his undefeated record intact as he leads the surprising 2-0-0 Philadelphia Flyers into Tampa Bay to take on the Lightning. Hart has made 28 or more stops in each of his victories while allowing no less than two goals. Tampa has struggled to find the net in their first three games, surpassing two goals only once so far this season in their only win.

Hart will get the Flyers' first start of the season under new head coach John Tortorella. The Flyers' netminder will be looking to achieve an SV% above .905% for the first time in three seasons as he enters 2021-22. The 24-year-old has struggled for the last two seasons, averaging a nearly 3.30 GAA average across 69 starts during that time.

Hart has been battling a lower-body injury and has yet to appear in a pre-season game. Hart said he's hopeful that he'll be able to play in one of the final preseason games but that he and the team are being extra cautious to make sure he's 100 percent for the start of the season.
