Shesterkin will start vs. Edmonton on Tuesday.

The Rangers have been outstanding at keeping the puck out of their net early in the 2025-26 season, allowing only five goals through four games (2-2-0), but have struggled offensively, shut out in two games. Shesterkin, the 2021-22 Vezina trophy winner, is off to a tremendous start this season after a uncharacteristic 2024-25 campaign, posting a 0.67 GAA, .976 SV%, and one shutout through three games (2-1-0). Still, the Rangers enter Tuesday's contest as +123 home underdogs against Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers.

Igor Shesterkin
Lapierre is expected to draw back into Washington's lineup vs. Tampa Bay on Tuesday.

With Pierre-Luc Dubois sidelined, day-to-day with a lower-body injury, Lapierre will draw back into Washington's lineup as his replacement. The 23-year-old Lapierre is averaging 10:03 time-on-ice and has zero points through two games this season. He will suit up on a line with Sonny Milano and Ryan Leonard.

Hendrix Lapierre
Dubois (lower-body) is out vs. Tampa on Tuesday and considered day-to-day.

Dubois exited Sunday's 1-0 win over the New York Rangers in the third period due to an undisclosed injury and did not return. He was also absent from practice on Tuesday, and will not play in the evening against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 27-year-old Dubois has been held off the scoresheet through three games this season. Hendrix Lapierre will draw into the lineup as Dubois' replacement.

Pierre-Luc Dubois
Thompson will start vs. Tampa Bay on Tuesday.

The Capitals have received stellar goaltending and have been stout defensively early in the 2025-26 season, but have struggled offensively, only outscoring their opposition 6-5 through three games (2-1-0). Logan Thompson will be back between the pipes on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning, looking to improve on his 2.03 GAA and .930 SV% through two games (1-1-0). Washington enters Tuesday's contest as a slight -109 home favorite against a Tampa Bay team that played yesterday in Boston, defeating the Bruins 4-3.

Logan Thompson
Dubois did not skate at Tuesday's practice after leaving Washington's game on Sunday with an undisclosed injury.

Dubois exited Sunday's 1-0 win over the New York Rangers in the third period due to an undisclosed injury and did not return. He was also absent from practice on Tuesday, and his status for Washington's contest against the Tampa Bay Lightning is uncertain. The 27-year-old Dubois has been held off the scoresheet through three games this season.

Pierre-Luc Dubois
Markstrom (undisclosed) did not have an update after appearing in pain at the end of New Jersey's game on Monday.

Jake Allen was the starting goalie in Monday's 3-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets but exited due to cramping and was replaced by Markstrom. Markstrom saved 8 of 9 shots (.889 SV%) in a 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets but appeared to be in discomfort towards the end of the contest. No updates were provided on his status.

Jacob Markstrom
Allen (cramping) left Monday’s game vs. Columbus and did not return.

Allen did not finish Monday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets and was replaced by Jacob Markstrom. The 35-year-old Allen was putting together a solid effort before leaving the game, saving 23 of 24 shots (.958 SV%) in an eventual 3-2 win. No update was provided on Allen, but he is not expected to miss time.

Jake Allen
Dickinson (upper-body) will play against the Mammoth on Monday.

Dickinson did not play on Saturday due to an upper-body injury but will return to the lineup on Monday against the Utah Mammoth. The 30-year-old Dickinson's 2024-25 season was cut short due to an injury, limited to only 59 games while scoring 16 points (7G / 9A).

Jason Dickinson
Hayton (undisclosed) is expected to make his season debut in Chicago on Monday.

Hayton battled an undisclosed injury through the latter half of the preseason and has missed Utah's first two games of the season, but looks set to play on Monday against the Chicago Blackhawks. The 25-year-old Hayton has shown glimpses of strong productivity but has lacked consistency. He scored 46 points (20G / 26A) in 82 games last season.

Barrett Hayton
Knight will start against the Mammoth on Monday.

The Blackhawks (0-2-1) continue their search for their first win of the season and will roll with Knight between the pipes on Monday against the Utah Mammoth. The 24-year-old Knight, in his first full season with the Blackhawks after being acquired before the 2024-25 trade deadline, has a 3.03 GAA and .908 SV% in two outings this season (0-2-0). The Blackhawks enter Monday's contest as +143 home underdogs against a Mammoth team that has scored just four goals through two games this season (1-1-0).

Spencer Knight
Vanecek will start in Chicago on Monday.

The Utah Mammoth are 1-1-0 to start the 2025-26 season and will start Vanecek between the pipes for his first start of the season on Monday against the Chicago Blackhawks. The 29-year-old Vanecek is in his first season with Utah after splitting the 2024-25 campaign with the San Jose Sharks and Florida Panthers, posting a 3.62 GAA and .884 SV% in 25 combined appearances (5-14-4). The Mammoth enter Monday's contest as -166 road favorites against the Blackhawks.

Vitek Vanecek
Kuemper will start in Minnesota on Monday.

The Kings (1-2-0) have only one win this season, and it came with Anton Forsberg between the pipes, but they will roll with Kuemper on Monday against the Minnesota Wild. Kuemper was sensational in the 2024-25 season, finishing as a Vezina runner-up after posting a 2.02 GAA and .921 SV% in 50 outings (31-11-7). That said, he has not started the 2025-26 season on the same track, posting a 3.63 GAA and .860 SV% in two games (0-2-0). The Kings enter Monday's contest as slight -106 road favorites against the Wild.

Darcy Kuemper
Binnington will start in Vancouver on Monday.

The Blues will turn to Binnington for the second time in this young season when they travel to Vancouver on Monday. Binnington will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing first start, after he allowed five goals on 21 shots in a 5-0 loss to the Wild on Thursday. Binner and the Blues enter action on Canadian Thanksgiving as slight underdogs at +105 on the money line.
