Hart was the first goalie off the ice at Vegas' morning skate.

The Golden Knights have not worried about easing Hart back into action, as he likely returns to the crease for the fifth time in seven games on Wednesday when they face the New Jersey Devils. The 27-year-old Hart hasn't needed to be spectacular to pick up a 3-0-1 record since his return to the NHL, posting a 2.61 GAA and .901 SV%. The Golden Knights defeated the Devils 3-0 two weeks ago and enter the action on Wednesday as -170 home favorites.

Theodore missed practice on Tuesday due to an upper-body injury.

Despite seeing limited powerplay time due to the Golden Knights running a five-forward top unit, Theodore has remained productive from the blueline this season, with 20 points (4G / 16A) in 31 games. Hart will make his Vegas debut vs. Chicago on Tuesday.

Carter Hart has not played an NHL game since January in the 2023-24 season, but will make his return after a brief conditioning stint in the AHL. The 27-year-old Hart failed to impress with the Henderson Silver Knights, posting a subpar 3.07 GAA and .839 SV% in three games (1-2-0). Still, the Golden Knights are placing their trust in Hart, hoping he can return closer to the 2.94 GAA and .906 SV% he had in 227 career games (96-93-29) with the Philadelphia Flyers before his hiatus from the NHL. The Golden Knights enter the action against the Blackhawks as -277 home favorites.
