DeBrusk absorbed a big hit early on Tuesday but was able to play through it for a period of time, but eventually went down the tunnel and never returned. DeBrusk ended up logging just 10:48 TOI and should be considered questionable as the Bruins head to Florida for a clash with the Panthers on Thursday.
It looks like Boeser’s amazing rookie season is going to be cut short after he fractured his back late in Monday’s win over the Islanders. If this does wrap up his season, Boeser finishes the campaign with 29 goals and 26 assists (55 points) in 62 games.
It has been a crazy 48 hours for Boeser as it’s gone from looking like he’d be out for a lengthy period of time to a game-time decision tonight. Boeser is the clear offensive leader of the Canucks so they definitely want to see him in the lineup tonight. Monitor his status when the Canucks hit the ice for warmups (9:30 p.m. ET).
The Canucks got great news on Monday after a CT scan revealed no structural damage on Boeser’s foot. Boeser is dealing with a bone bruise and is “more day-to-day than week-to-week” according GM Jim Benning. Boeser suffered the injury while blocking a Mark Giordano shot on Sunday and is not expected to play Tuesday vs. the Canadiens.
