Chytil suffered a setback in his initial attempt to return from an upper-body injury in late January after going down at practice. He missed the entirety of the 2023-24 regular season but appears to be nearing a return in the playoffs. Chytil was a major component of the Rangers offence, scoring 22 goals and 45 points as a 23-year-old in 2022-23.

Demko missed 14 games toward the end of the regular season due to a knee injury before returning for the final two games heading into the playoffs. He was solid in a 4-2 game-one victory over the Nashville Predators on Sunday, saving 20 of 22 shots (.909 SV%) but will be sidelined for game two and possibly beyond with an undisclosed injury. It is unclear if this injury is related to his previous ailment.




Mark Friedman will draw into the Canucks lineup on Thursday, allowing Hronek to have the night off in their final game before the playoffs. Hronek ends the 2023-24 campaign with a career-high 48 points (5G / 43A) in 81 games.

After returning from a multi-week injury on Tuesday, Demko will return to the crease for the Canucks for his second straight game. Demko was excellent in his return to action, picking up where he left off, saving 39 of 40 shots (.975 SV%) in a 4-1 victory over the Calgary Flames. The Canucks enter action as -107 road favourites on Thursday against the Winnipeg Jets.

Boeser will not play on Thursday and get an extra night of rest before the beginning of the playoffs. The 27-year-old Boeser ends the 2023-24 campaign with career-highs in goals (40) and points (73), accumulated across 81 games this season.

Fix-Wolansky is coming off the best game of his NHL career after scoring two goals vs. Nashville on Saturday but has been reassigned to Cleveland (AHL) for their playoff run on Monday. The 24-year-old's 2023-24 with the Blue Jackets likely ends with a career-high two goals and three points in 11 games played.

Thompson made his NHL debut with the Tampa Bay Lightning earlier this season and will make his Sharks debut on Monday against the Edmonton Oilers. Thompson was the 93rd overall pick of Tampa Bay in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft and has 41 points (6G / 35A) in 62 AHL games this season between the Syracuse Crunch and the San Jose Barracuda.




Juuse Saros (roster management) will not dress on Friday, leaving the crease to Kevin Lankinen. Lankinen was solid in his last outing, despite suffering a 2-0 loss to the New York Islanders, saving 28 of 29 shots (.966 SV%), improving his season totals to a 2.93 GAA and .905 SV%. The Predators enter action on Friday as -254 road favourites against the Chicago Blackhawks.
