Yamamoto is week-to-week with an ankle injury.

This is a huge blow for the Oilers, who loaded up at the deadline on Monday. Since Yamamoto came up from the AHL, the trio of Draisaitl, Nugent-Hopkins and Yamamoto have been red-hot. Yamamoto had 18 points (7G / 11A) in his last 16 games but will likely miss at least a couple of weeks. The newly acquired Tyler Ennis could be a replacement for Yamamoto.

Trocheck will make his Hurricanes debut on Tuesday.

Trocheck was acquired from the Panthers on Monday and will draw right into Erik Haula's spot on Tuesday. Trocheck, who has 36 points (10G / 26A) in 55 games this season, will have Nino Niederreiter and Martin Necas on his wings in his debut. He'll likely see PP2 time as well.

The Hurricanes have acquired Vincent Trocheck from the Panthers for Erik Haula, Lucas Wallmark, Chase Priskie and Eetu Luostarinen.

Carolina will hope Trocheck can regain some of the elite form he flashed in the 2017-18 season, when he racked up a career high 75 points (31G/44A). Trocheck hasn't quite looked like himself since suffering a fractured ankle in November 2018. The 26-year-old has 10 goals and 26 assists through 55 games this season.

Marino has three broken bones in his cheek and will need surgery.

Marino will be sidelined indefinitely with a broken cheek that he suffered while taking a Steven Stamkos shot in the face on Thursday night. Marino filled in admirably when the Penguins were banged up and turned himself into a reliable top-4 defenseman this season, so this is a huge loss for the Penguins.

Peeke has been placed on IR with a broken finger; expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks.

Peeke had a Mike Green slap-shot ramp up his stick and off of his hand during Tuesday's win in Detroit and he broke his finger on the play. Peeke will be out until mid-to-late January and Gabriel Carlsson was recalled from Cleveland to take his spot on the roster.

The Blue Jackets recalled Kevin Stenlund from Cleveland (AHL) under emergency conditions.

Columbus lost Sonny Milano and Josh Anderson to upper-body injuries on Saturday, so Stenlund and Marko Dano have been recalled and will likely play on Monday. Stenlund has spent the entire season with Cleveland so far, scoring six goals with 10 assists (16 points) in 27 games.
