Toronto Maple Leafs News

Domi (lower-body) has been placed on IR retroactive to November 16th.

Domi will not play on Wednesday due to a lower-body injury but will be eligible to be activated from Injured Reserve before the Maple Leafs' following game on Novemeber 24th against the Utah Hockey Club. The 29-year-old Domi has struggled with the Maple Leaf this season, going without a point in 13 straight games. The Maple Leafs have recalled Nikita Grebyonkin from the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

Bobrovsky will start in Winnipeg on Tuesday.

The 36-year-old Bobrovsky has a 2.89 GAA and .897 SV% in 13 games this season (9-3-1). Matthews (upper-body) will be out on Wednesday vs. Vegas with his next chance to return being Sunday.

Matthews will mis a seventh straight game due to his upper-body injury. With games so few and far between for the Maple Leafs, it's possible they are just taking a cautious approach to his return to the lineup. The 27-year-old Matthews was off to a slower-than-usual start to the 2024-25 campaign but had six points (2G / 4A) in his last five games.

Joshua (testicular cancer) is expected to make his season debut vs. the Islanders on Thursday.

In mid-September, the Canucks announced that 28-year-old Dakota Joshua had been diagnosed with testicular cancer and successfully had a tumor removed but would not be ready for the start of training camp. After several months of recovery, Joshua is expected to make his season debut, likely with limited minutes on the fourth line. The fifth-year winger is coming off his best season in 2023-24, with 18 goals, 32 points, 60 PIMs, 84 SOG, and a +19 plus/minus through 63 games played.

Raddysh is expected to draw back into Tampa Bay's lineup vs. Winnipeg on Thursday.

Cam Atkinson will be a healthy scratch on Thursday, allowing Raddysh to draw into the lineup, indicating that Tampa Bay will likely go with a 11-forward, seven-defensemen formation. The 28-year-old Raddysh is averaging 16:46 time-on-ice and has one assist in seven games this season.

Bobrovsky will start on Thursday vs. New Jersey.

The Panthers will return to Bobrovsky in net on Thursday after turning to Spencer Knight in their previous outing. The 36-year-old Bobrovsky has not been spectacular this season but has been adequate when needed, guiding his team to an 8-2-1 record in his 11 outings, posting a 2.95 GAA and .895 SV%. The Panthers enter the action on Thursday as -134 home favorites in a rematch against a New Jersey Devils club that snapped their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday.

Matthews (upper-body) is doubtful for Tuesday vs. Ottawa.

After being placed on Injured Reserve last week, Matthews will likely remain sidelined against the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday, the first day he eligible to be activated. The 27-year-old Matthews was off to a slower-than-usual start to the 2024-25 campaign but had six points (2G / 4A) in his last five games.
