Toronto Maple Leafs News

Woll is in the starter's crease at Toronto's morning skate.

The Maple Leafs are coming off a disappointing 3-2 shootout loss to the San Jose Sharks but still have points in six straight (5-0-1) and will likely turn to Woll between the pipes on Wednesday against the Vegas Golden Knights. Woll allowed five goals on 34 shots (.853 SV%) in his most recent outing but received enough goal support to secure a 6-5 overtime victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 26-year-old goalie has a 2.70 GAA and .907 SV% in 32 games this season (21-11-0). The Maple Leafs enter Wednesday's contest as +146 road underdogs against a Golden Knights squad on a two-game winning streak.

Jarnkrok will return on Monday vs. San Jose.

Jarnkrok has not played this season, aggravating an injury during the preseason, suffering a setback, and ultimately undergoing surgery to address a sports hernia. The 33-year-old Jarnkrok had provided a steady dose of secondary offense in two seasons with the Maple Leafs, scoring 60 points (30G / 30A) in 125 combined games. Ryan Reaves will be a healthy scratch to accommodate Jarnkrok's return.
