Bobrovsky made 41 saves on 43 shots in the Blue Jackets win in San Jose on Tuesday. Bobrovksy had easily his best game of the season and he will look to win two in a row tonight in Los Angeles. Bobrovsky has won three of his last five starts while posting a 2.55 GAA and .921 SV%.. Bobrovsky has turned things around, but will run into a red-hot Kings team, who has won eight of their last nine.

Tavares (illness) will play on Thursday vs. the Canadiens.

Tavares missed the last three games with an illness but will be back in the lineup tonight in Montreal. The Islanders scored just five goals in the three games without Tavares, but they will get their captain back this evening. He has 11 points (5G / 6A) in 10 games this season and should be activated in all formats.

Bobrovsky gets the nod Tuesday in San Jose.

Bobrovkst was pulled after allowing three goals on 11 shots in the Blue Jackets loss to the Jets last Saturday. He started both games of the back-to-back so it wasn’t surprising to see him struggle in his second game in as many nights. He comes into Saturday with two wins, a 2.80 GAA and .900 SV% in his last five starts.

Tavares (illness) skated this morning but will not play on vs. the Devils.

Tavares will miss his third consecutive game with an illness. Despite not play tonight, it was a good sign that Tavares was able to take part in the Islanders’ morning skate. Monitor his status prior to Thursday’s game in Montreal.

Tavares missed both games this weekend and Monday’s practice. Head coach Jack Capuano said after the session that Tavares is still very sick and that he doesn’t “expect him [back] for a little bit.” It seems highly unlikely that Tavares will be available for Tuesday’s game vs. New Jersey.

Bobrovsky will start Saturday vs. the Jets.

Bobrovsky allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Blue Jackets loss to the Capitals last night. Since the Blue Jackets hired John Tortorella, Bobrovsky has gone 2-2-0 with a 2.28 GAA and .917 SV%. He is a sketchy start tonight on the second game of a back-to-back, vs. a Winnipeg team that ranks seventh in scoring.

Bobrovsky stopped 23 of 24 shots in the Blue Jackets win in New Jersey on Tuesday. After starting the season with six straight losses, Bobrovsky has rebounded with back-to-back wins while making 54 saves on 58 shots (.931 SV%). Despite his recent success, he is a scary play tonight in Washington.

Bobrovsky allowed three goals on 34 in the Blue Jackets win over the Avalanche on Saturday. Bobrovsky finally won his first game of the season and now sits at 1-6-0 with a 4.45 GAA and .852 SV%. Despite his early season struggles, he looked sharp on Saturday and draws another great matchup tonight vs. the Devils.

On Saturday he will face an Avalanche team that ranks in the middle of the pack with 2.67 goals per game this season.

Bobrovksy was pulled after allowing four goals on 22 shots in the Blue Jackets 5-2 loss in New York on Saturday. It was his second game in as many nights, which is never an easy thing to do, but Bobrovksy struggled mightily. He enters play on Monday having allowed eight goals on 47 shots (.830 SV%) but draws a strong matchup vs. the Sabres.
