Cirelli (shoulder) could play as soon as Saturday.

Cirelli, who is recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, removed his non-contact sweater last week and could play Saturday vs. the Maple Leafs. Expect Cirelli to start to work into the mix at practice over the next few days if he's going to make his season debut on December 3rd.

Jeffrey Viel will be a healthy scratch Wednesday vs. Toronto.

Viel made his Sharks' season debut Tuesday and played 7:22 TOI after being added to the lineup for some muscle as he currently ranks second in the AHL with 65 PIMs through just 18 games played with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL). He will be a healthy scratch Wednesday as the Sharks play their second of a back-to-back vs. Toronto.

Jeffrey Viel will make his season debut Tuesday vs. Montreal.

Viel will make his Sharks' season debut Tuesday and add some muscle to the lineup as he currently ranks second in the AHL with 65 PIMs through just 18 games played with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL). The 25-year-old has played in 45 career NHL games played and has three goals, two assists and 137 PIMs.

Andrea Vasilevskiy will start vs. St. Louis.

Vasilevskiy allowed five goals on 29 shots (.826 SV%) as he took the loss in a shakey start vs. Boston his last time out. He has not been his usual dominant self this season as shown by his 7-6-1 record and .903 SV% along with his 3.00 GAA. He takes on the St. Louis Blues who lost 6-2 to Buffalo their last time out to snap a seven-game winning streak.

Zemgus Girgensons will return to the Sabres' lineup Tuesday vs. Montreal (undisclosed).

Girgensons missed the Sabres' previous game due to an undisclosed injury but will return to the lineup Tuesday in place of Peyton Krebs (healthy scratch). The 28-year-old left winger has three goals and five points through 17 games this season while averaging a career-low 11:45 TOI.

Jensen Harkins returns to the Jets' lineup Monday vs. Carolina.

Harkins will draw back into the Jets' lineup vs. Carolina after a successful stint with Manitoba of the AHL where he had five goals and four assists in six games played. In three games so far with the Jets in 2022-23, he has zero points and three SOG while only playing 9:21 ATOI.

Vasilevskiy was the first goalie off of the ice at the Lightning morning skate.

Vasilevskiy finds himself on a three-game winning streak after defeating Nashville his last time out on the back of a 30 save on 32 shot (.938 SV%) performance. The NHL leader in wins the last five seasons has struggled so far in 2022-23, posting a 7-5-1 record with a .909 SV% and 2.84 GAA. He draws the tough task of taking on the league-leading Boston Bruins who carry a 16-2-0 record into the game Monday and find themselves on a six-game winning streak.

Vasilevskiy will start Thursday vs. the Flames.

Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 19 of 22 shots (.864 SV%) in a win over Washington his last time out. He has been having a very down year compared to his usual all-star standards, posting a 5-5-1 record and glaringly low .898 SV% to go along with his 3.10 GAA. He takes on the Calgary Flames who won 6-5 over Los Angeles in their last game to extend their win streak to two games.

Pontus Holmberg has been recalled from the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

Holmberg will be recalled for a second time this season after getting a small cup of coffee with the Maple Leafs earlier in the season, playing one game where he collected two shots over 10:01 TOI. The 23-year-old has a goal and four assists with Toronto (AHL) prior to his call up to the Leafs.
