Tampa Bay Lightning News

Chaffee has been recalled from Syracuse (AHL).

With Tampa Bay expecting to rest a majority of their players for the Lightning's finale on Wednesday, Mitchell Chaffee has been recalled from Syracuse (AHL) and is expected to play vs. New York. The 28-year-old appeared in 10 games earlier in the season with Tampa but failed to pick up a point while averaging 9:11 TOI.

Crozier (upper-body) will return vs. Detroit on Wednesday.

Crozier has not played since early February, undergoing surgery to repair a core muscle injury, but he will draw back into the lineup in Tampa Bay's final game of the season. Before his injury, the 25-year-old had been a solid contributor on Tampa Bay's back end, with a goal, 10 points, and a +7 plus/minus in 34 games played this season.

Maxwell Crozier
Vasilevskiy was the first goalie off the ice at Tampa Bay's morning skate.

Vasilevskiy allowed three goals on 30 shots in the Lighting's win over the Red Wings on Monday. Even with the Lightning locked into their playoff spot, Vasilevskiy will start his fourth straight in the season finale. After a tough March, Vasilevskiy has gone 4-2-0 with a 2.19 GAA and .912 SV% in six starts in April.

Andrei Vasilevskiy
Johansson (undisclosed) is considered day-to-day.

Johansson has only played once in the past two weeks and likely will not tend the twine again, as Tampa Bay will rely exclusively on Andrei Vasilevskiy in the postseason. Brandon Halverson has been recalled from Syracuse (AHL) to serve as Vasilevskiy's backup in Tampa Bay's final game of the season.

Jonas Johansson
Halverson has been recalled from Syracuse (AHL).

With Jonas Johansson (undisclosed) out day-to-day, Halverson has been recalled from Syracuse (AHL) to serve as Andrei Vasilevskiy's backup in Tampa Bay's final game of the season. The 30-year-old Halverson has a 2.39 GAA and .906 SV% in 42 games this season with the Syracuse Crunch (24-11-6).

Brandon Halverson
Hagel (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision for Tampa Bay's season finale on Wednesday vs. Detroit.

Hagel did not play in Tampa Bay's previous game, and his status for the team's final game of the season on Wednesday is unclear. That said, Head Coach Jon Cooper suggested that the importance, or lack thereof, of Wednesday's game could play a part, likely indicating that he should, at the very least, be ready for Game 1 of the postseason. The 27-year-old Hagel has 74 points (36G / 38A) in 70 games this season.

Brandon Hagel
Johansson (undisclosed) will not dress against the Red Wings on Monday.

Johansson is not fit enough to serve as Andrei Vasilevskiy's back-up on Monday, as that honour will go to emergency back-up goalie Kyle Konin. The Lightning did not specify what exactly is ailing Johansson, only stating that he is considered day-to-day with the undisclosed injury.

Jonas Johansson
Hagel (undisclosed) will not play Monday vs. the Red Wings.

Hagel has played one game since March 31st but will be held back out of Tampa Bay's lineup vs. Detroit on Monday with an undisclosed injury with Tampa Bay locked into a playoff position. The 27-year-old will finish his 2025-26 campaign above a point-per-game as he currently sits on 36-goals and 74 points across 70 games played.

Brandon Hagel
Raddysh (undisclosed) skated on Monday but will not play vs. Detroit.

Raddysh will remain out for a second-straight contest on Monday vs. Detroit due to an undisclosed injury. The 30-year-old will be one of the most coveted offseason free agents after he put but a ridiculous 22-goals and 70 points in 72 games played this season. He is expected to be fully healthy for Tampa Bay's first playoff series.

Darren Raddysh
Vasileskiy will start Monday vs. the Red Wings.

With some good fortune, Tampa Bay can still win the Atlantic Division, but they will need a win on Monday, turning to Vasilevskiy against the Detroit Red Wings. The 31-year-old Vasilevskiy was excellent in his previous outing, saving 20 of 21 shots (.952 SV%) in a 2-1 win over the Boston Bruins. He has allowed three or fewer goals in 13 of his last 14 games (9-4-1). Tampa Bay enters Monday's contest as -188 home favourites against a Red Wings team that has lost four of its last five (1-3-1) to seal their fate as a non-playoff team.

Geekie will be back in the Lightning lineup on Saturday.

Geekie was scratched on Thursday as the Lighting went with 11 forwards and seven defensemen. But with Darren Raddysh injured on Saturday, Geekie will suit back up as the 12th forward. Geekie enters the game with two assists in 12 NHL games this season.

Conor Geekie
Vasilevskiy led the Lightning onto the ice for warmups.

Vasilevskiy allowed two goals on 21 shots in the Lightning's loss in Montreal on Thursday. Vasilevskiy is the Vezina Trophy favourite and leads the NHL in wins (37) but has gone 3-3-1 with a 2.45 GAA and .897 SV% in his last seven outings. This afternoon he will face the Bruins for the third time this season, having gone 2-0-0 while stopping 50 of 56 shots (.893 SV%) in the first two meetings.
