Drouin was held out of Thursday’s game because of a lower-body injury and he missed practice this morning which suggests he won’t play on Saturday either. The Lightning have officially listed him as doubtful.

It looks like Drouin will take a seat in game 1 as Vladimir Namestnikov gets set to suit up in his first career playoff game. Monitor Drouin’s status as the playoffs progress. The young forward is too goo to be held out of the lineup permanently.

Drouin missed the season finale, but was on the ice for practice this morning which suggests that he will be fine for Thursday’s game. Drouin had just four goals, but 28 assists (32 points) in 70 games this season.


Krug did not participate in the Bruins morning skate because of an illness, but he could still be in the lineup tonight in Detroit. Boston has recalled Joe Morrow from Providence (AHL) in case Krug is not available tonight.

Fowler was a healthy scratch on Tuesday, but he will be back in the lineup tonight in Boston. With Fowler back in, James Wisniewski will take a seat. Fowler has two goals and three assists in his last 10 games.

Fowler was a minus-3 in the Ducks 7-2 loss to the Rangers on Monday and he will serve as a healthy scratch tonight in Columbus. Fowler will be replaced by Simon Despres.

Krug, 23, was set to become a restricted free agent in the offseason. Krug is on-pace to set a career-high with 41 points. So far he has 11 goals and 20 assists (31 points) in 59 games.

Drouin was bumped up to the Lightning’s third line with Valtteri Filppula and Cedric Paquette in the morning skate. He will take on an increased role with Connolly out of town, which should lead to more production. Drouin has two goals and 24 assists (26 points) in 53 games.

Drouin missed Saturday’s game with an illness, but is on the ice for warmups and it looks like he will play. He was listed as a game-time decision, but he skated this morning and his availability in warmups are both signs that he will play.

Drouin has been in and out of the lineup recently and has only averaged 12:58 TOI in 23 games this season. He scored his second goal of the year last night and will bump up to the top line with Steven Stamkos and Ryan Callahan.

Drouin has had a difficult time staying in the lineup as of late. Tonight will mark the third time in seven games that the 2013 third overall pick will sit out. J.T Brown will be in for Drouin.

Brian Elliott sustained a lower-body injury on Tuesday night, so Binnington, 21, has been recalled to serve as the Blues second net minder while Elliott is out. Binnington has gone 6-2-1 with a 1.89 GAA and .925 SV% in nine AHL appearances this season.
