Toropchenko was expected to be out until December after undergoing shoulder surgery, but he declared himself 100 percent on Friday. Head coach Craig Berube said a final decision on Toropchenko's status will be made before the game on Saturday.

Blues GM Doug Armstrong said that "it's one of those (injuries) where he could have potentially played with it and got injured again, then you're looking at a four- to five-month surgery." Toropchenko had two goals and two assists in 40 combined regular season and playoff games during his first NHL season.
