Binnington had the night off yesterday on the front end of a back-to-back but will occupy the crease for the Blues on Wednesday night. The 30-year-old Binnington had a forgettable performance in his last outing, allowing four goals on 14 shots (.714 SV%) in an eventual 6-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings. The 23-year-old has played well in his first full complete season as the Blues' backup netminder, with his 10-9-0 record, 2.80 GAA and .913 SV%, He takes on the tall task of the Jets in Winnipeg on Tuesday, who have won their last three games but are 18th in the NHL in goals per game (3.07).

With Justin Faulk being activated from LTIR, Kessel has been reassigned to the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL. Kessel registered two assists while averaging 17:25 time-on-ice through 22 games with the Blues.

Binnington allowed three goals on 31 shots (.903 SV%) on Tuesday, his worst performance in the last three weeks, an indication of how great Binnington has been since mid-January. That said, Binnington and the Blues enter Thursday's contest as +170 home underdogs against an Edmonton Oilers club that ranks fourth in the league offensively (3.51 GF / GP).

Binningston will make his second straight start in his hometown of Toronto on Tuesday as St. Louis closes out their Ontario road trip. The 30-year-old Stanley Cup Champion is playing his best hockey since 2020-21, with his 18-13-2 record, 2.89 GAA, .909 SV%, and two shutouts. He will take on the Maples Leafs on Tuesday, who have lost two of their last three games but are fifth in the NHL in goals per game (3.44).



Tucker played 11:50 TOI vs. the Blue Jackets on January 30th and has two points (1G / 1A) in 16 games this season. He'll be replaced by Calle Rosen in the lineup on Saturday.

Rosen has spent the entire 2024 season in the AHL, picking up 25 points (2G / 23A) in 44 games with Springfield. Rosen will replace Tyler Tucker on the blueline and had 18 points (8G / 10A) in 49 games with the Blues last season.
