Berggren has been reassigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL after playing two games with the Red Wings, recording two points (0G / 1A), and averaging 11:36 time-on-ice. Berggren was originally recalled to replace Dylan Larkin (undisclosed), who has been away from the team. Nothing is official yet, but Berggren's reassignment to the AHL is an indication that Larkin might return to the lineup on Saturday.

Binnington will start for the third consecutive game and look to build off a strong 34-save performance (.919 SV%) in a 3-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday. Binnington has been mostly solid this season, recording a 2.91 GAA and .910 SV% through 16 games (6-6-1), but has allowed three or more goals in four of his last five appearances (1-2-0). The Blues are -122 home favourites on Thursday against a Buffalo Sabres team that ranks in the bottom-third of the league offensively (2.91 GF / GP) and has been wildly inconsistent this season, indicated by their 4-4-0 record over their last eight games.

Tucker suited up for the first time in nine games in St.Louis' previous contest but will head back to the press box as he is a healthy scratch Tuesday vs. Minnesota. The 23-year-old had a goal, an assist, eight PIMs and six SOG in nine games played this season will be replaced by Scott Perunovich Tuesday.

Binnington is coming off a sensational 32-save performance (.941 SV%) in a 4-2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday and will return to the crease again as the Blues' starting goalie on Tuesday. Binnington has been significantly better than his output over the previous two seasons but still has been wildly inconsistent, highlighted by a .894 SV% over his past seven appearances (3-1-0), which contain a shutout and four high-quality starts. The Blues are +142 road underdogs against a Minnesota Wild team that will be playing their first game under new head coach John Hynes.

Berggren has played two games with the Red Wings this season but has spent most of his time with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL where he has been terrific, scoring 11 points (4G / 4A) in 11 games. Last season, Berggren was a regular in the Red Wings lineup, tallying 28 points (15G / 13A) in 67 games.

Suter has already missed the Canucks last five games due to an undisclosed injury and was placed on the long-term injured reserve Friday. The 27-year-old signed with Vancouver in the offseason and has four goals, 23 SOG, four PIMs and a +3 plus/minus through 15 games prior to his injury.

Binnington will return to the crease on Wednesday when the St. Louis Blues face off as slight +101 road underdogs against the Arizona Coyotes. The Blues have already faced the Coyotes twice this season (1-1-0), but Wednesday will mark Binnington's first appearance against them. Binnington has a terrific 2.47 GAA and .922 SV% through 12 games (5-5-1), unquestionably his best season since the 2018-19 campaign when he emerged as a rookie and led the Blues to the Stanley Cup.

The Oilers are expected to dress seven defencemen on Monday as Broberg draws back into the lineup for the first time since November 2nd. Broberg has zero points in eight games this season, tallying six blocks and two hits while averaging 11:12 time-on-ice.

Binnington will be back in the Blues' crease on Saturday after Joel Hofer got the nod in Thursday's 5-1 defeat to the Sharks. Binnington relieved Hofer in that game after the latter allowed four goals on just 21 shots. Binnington has enjoyed a bit of renaissance to begin the 2023-24 season, owning an impressive .930 SV% and 2.23 GAA across 11 appearances. He's been unfortunate to rack up just five wins despite his efforts, and things won't get any easier tonight with the Blues going off as +150 underdogs in Los Angeles.

Hofer will be the starter on Thursday for a red-hot Blues team that has won five of their last six games (5-1-0), outscoring their opposition 26-12. In limited action this season, Hofer has been excellent when called upon, saving 76 of 80 shots faced (.950 SV%) over his last three contests (3-0-0). The Blues will look to continue their winning ways, as they are sizeable -215 road favourites against the league's worst team, the San Jose Sharks, who are averaging a nearly non-existent 1.31 goals per game.
