Mailloux will be a healthy scratch vs. Colorado on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old Mailloux had a -3 plus/minus rating in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres and has struggled in his own end this season, recording a -20 plus/minus through 27 games.

Fresh off being announced as a goalie on Team Canada at the upcoming Winter Olympics, Binnington will tend the twine on Wednesday against the Colorado Avalanche. The 32-year-old Binnington has not played in over a week and has struggled immensely this season, largely outdueled by counterpart Joel Hofer, posting an ugly 3.44 GAA and .870 SV% in 23 games (7-9-6).

Hofer has undoubtedly outdueled his counterpart, Jordan Binnington, over the past several weeks, and he will return to the crease on Monday against the Buffalo Sabres. Snuggerud missed the last 12 games after undergoing surgery on his left wrist at the beginning of December. Snuggerud, who has 11 points (5G / 6A) in 26 games this season, will draw back into the lineup on the third line with Dalibor Dvorsky and Pius Suter, and will see PP1 time.
