Stuart Skinner will start Game 2 Wednesday vs. Los Angeles.

Skinner allowed four goals on 35 shots (.886 SV%) in Game 1 to pick up the overtime loss as they were down 4-3 by Los Angeles on Monday. The 24-year-old had a great rookie regular season, going 29-14-5 with a .914 SV% and 2.75 GAA through 48 starts. He will take on the Kings in Game 2, who finished the regular season with the fourth-best power play in the NHL (25.3).

Chinakhov has four goals, nine assists, 44 SOG, 10 PIMs and a -6 plus/minus through 30 games with the Blue Jackets this season and has signed a one-year, contract extension for the 2023-24 season. The 22-year-old was Columbus' 2020 1st-round pick (21st overall).
