


Thompson has missed the start of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery in June. Thompson is expected to slot in on the Ducks’ fourth line against his former team. With Thompson back in the lineup, Patrick Maroon will likely be the healthy scratch.

Wilson has served as a healthy scratch in four of the last five games, so he has been sent back to Portland and Logan Shaw has been called up.


Wilson, 24, has four assists in seven games with Portland this season. With his recall, the 24-year-old could be making his Panthers’ season debut on Wednesday. Wilson has no points in five career NHL games.

Couturier has missed the last two games with a concussion and could miss his third straight contest on Thursday. Monitor Couturier’s status heading into the weekend.

Couturier will be held out of the lineup tonight but could be back on Thursday. Couturier has one goal and two assists in six games this season.

Couturier admitted that he is dealing with a concussion after Tuesday’s morning skate. He will not be in the lineup tonight vs. Buffalo but he could be back in the lineup on Thursday.

Couturier had to be helped off of the ice during the Flyers win over the Bruins on Wednesday. He was hit high by Bruins forward and former teammate Zac Rinaldo. Couturier may have suffered a concussion, which could keep him out of Saturday’s game vs. the Rangers. Monitor his status leading up to that contest.

Glendening was listed as questionable for tonight’s game after dealing with a lower-body injury after Tuesday’s win. He was on the ice for the Red Wings’ morning skate and will be in the lineup tonight vs. Carolina.

Glendening was injured while blocking a shot in Tuesday’s win over the Lightning. Monitor his status during Friday’s morning skate, but if he can’t play, then Joakim Andersson will replace him in the lineup.

Ristolainen missed the start of camp because of an upper-body injury, but participated in practice on Monday and will play on Tuesday. The 20-year-old blueliner had 20 points (8G / 12A) in 78 games with the Sabres last year. He will be a key member of Buffalo’s backend this season and for many years to come.





Thompson took part in the morning skate, but will not be available for Game 4. He remains day-to-day and could be available for Game 5 (if necessary).

Thompson missed the first two games of the series and he will be held out of the lineup for a third consecutive game. He could be back in the lineup for Game 4 on Wednesday.

Ristolainen was held out of Wednesday’s game with an illness, but he is expected to be available for Friday’s contest vs. the Blackhawks. Ristolainen has three goals and one assist in his last three games.
