Glendening left Tuesday’s game with an upper-body injury and will end the 2018 season the same way he ended the 2017 season, with an injury. Glendening finishes the season with 19 points (11G / 8A) in 68 games.
Seeler was a healthy scratch in Arizona on Saturday but is expected to draw back in tonight vs. the Kings. Seeler has just two assists with a plus-6 and 11 PIMS in 13 games with the Wild this season.
Seeler has missed the last three games with a biceps injury, but will replace Gustav Olofsson tonight vs. the Avalanche. The 6-foot-2, 200 lbs. defenseman has picked up two assists in 11 games since being recalled from Iowa (AHL).
Sanheim, 21, has picked up one goal and 15 assists (16 points) in 18 games with the Phantoms this season. Today he will play his first NHL game since January 13th and comes up with five points (1G / 4A) and a minus-10 rating in 35 NHL games.
Simmonds has missed the last seven games with an upper-body injury, but he was back at practice on Tuesday and is expected to play vs. the Penguins on Wednesday. Simmonds, who has 20 goals and 17 assists in 59 games this season, will start on a line with Valtteri Filppula and Jordan Weal and re-claims his spot on the top power-play unit.
Seeler missed Monday’s practice with some “soreness” and he will miss Tuesday’s game vs. the Hurricanes as well. The rookie defenseman has two assists in 11 games with the Wild since being recalled and all be replaced by Gustav Olofsson tonight.
Seeler has 12 points (2G/10A) in 49 games with Iowa (AHL) this season. The Wild have not announced who will draw out of the lineup in favour of Seeler.
Thompson returned to practice Monday but has yet to be cleared to play. He's getting closer but remains without a timetable for his return.
Thompson has missed some time with a lower-body injury earlier this season and has re-aggravated the injury. Thompson joins Mark Stone, Derick Brassard, Bobby Ryan and Gabriel Dumont as injured Senators forwards, so they will go with 11 forwards and seven defensemen tonight—a call-up from Binghamton (AHL) will be made this afternoon as well.
Thompson will miss his second straight game tonight and will miss the next two games before the break as well. With Thompson still out, Colin White will remain in the Senators lineup tonight.
Glendening has been out since December 20th but it looks like he might be back in the second game of a back-to-back to kick-off the week. Even when he’s in the lineup, Glendening doesn’t have a lot of fantasy appeal—he has just 10 points (7G / 3A) in 34 games this season.
