The Flyers have points in eight of their last 10 (6-2-2), largely due to Dan Vladar, but they will turn to Ersson on Friday against the New York Islanders. The 26-year-old Ersson allowed two goals on 17 shots (.882 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 3-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Flyers are off to a serviceable 11-7-3 start in an ultra-tight Eastern Conference, which they can largely credit to the solid play of Dan Vladar, who returns to the crease on Wednesday against the Florida Panthers. The 28-year-old Czech goalie is pacing for career-bests through 13 games this season (8-4-1), posting a solid 2.42 GAA and .912 SV%. Ersson has a 3.30 GAA and .844 SV% in six games this season (3-1-2).
