Bjorkstrand took a cross-check against the Devils on Saturday and will miss at least one month with a mid-body injury. Bjorkstrand was red-hot before getting hurt, scoring five goals with two assists in his previous four games. Nathan Gerbe was called up from Cleveland (AHL) to replace Bjorkstrand.

Cholowski has registered just two assists in his last 12 games and his return to the AHL suggests that Jonathan Ericsson and Alex Biega will play on Thursday. Cholowski had 12 assists in 25 games with Grand Rapids a season ago.
