Zibanejad will not practice on Saturday and his status for Sunday's game vs. the Sabres is in doubt. He could test out of protocol, so monitor his status on Sunday.

Durzi has had a terrific start to the season in Ontario, scoring five goals with eight assists (13 points) in 12 games. Durzi replaces Austin Strand, who was with the Kings but not in the lineup. It remains to be seen if Durzi will make his NHL debut over the weekend.




With Mitchell Stephens landing on IR with a lower-body injury, Veleno has been recalled for the Red Wings' four-game road trip. Veleno has one goal and one assist in four games with the Red Wings this season and three goals in seven AHL games.




Pettersson was activated from the COVID-19 protocol list for Thursday's game but he is ineligible to travel to Canada due to the Canadian government’s mandatory 14-day quarantine requirement following his previous positive tests for COVID-19.



Pettersson has missed the last three games while in COVID-19 protocol but was on the ice for Wednesday's practice and will be a game-time decision on Thursday. Pettersson skated on the third pairing with Chad Ruhwedel (also a game-time decision) in the session.


Shesterkin allowed six goals on 37 shots in the Rangers loss in Calgary on Saturday. The Rangers had a tough road trip and Shesterkin allowed a combined nine goals on 73 shots (.877 SV%). On Monday, he'll face a Panthers team that has yet to lose in regulation this season.
