The Islanders have signed Ilya Sorokin to a one-year, entry-level contract.
The Canadiens have agrred to terms with Alexander Romanov on a three-year, entry-level contract.
Romanov was selected in the second-round (No.38 overall) in 2018 and is expected to make the leap into the NHL in 2020-21. The 20-year-old Russian blueliner has spent the last two seasons in the KHL, where he's played a limited role and tallied just 11 points (1G / 10A) in a combined 86 games for CSKA Moscow. However, while playing against players his own age in the 2019 and 2020 World Juniors, Romanov had two goals and 12 assists (14 points) in 14 games. Due to the current pause of the NHL season, the start date of the contract has yet to be determined.
The Wild signed Adam Beckman to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Beckman was a third-round pick (No.75 overall) in 2019 and led the WHL in goals (48) and points (107) in 63 games this season. It was obviously a fantastic season for the 18-year-old, who looks like he could be a third-round steal for Minnesota.
The Blackhawks signed Matthew Highmore to a two-year contract extension worth $1.45 million ($725K AAV ).
In his third professional season, Highmore split his time between the AHL and NHL. He scored two goals with four assists (six points) in 36 games with the Blackhawks, serving exclusively as a bottom-6 option. He added 12 points (4G / 8A) in 21 AHL contests.
Boqvist (concussion) will not play on Wednesday.
Boqvist suffered a concussion vs. the Blues on Sunday and is out indefinitely. With Boqvist out, Nicolas Beaudin was recalled from Rockford (AHL) and will make his NHL debut on Wednesday. Lucas Carlsson will likely see some power-play time with Boqvist sidelined.
Goalie Start
Hogberg will start Tuesday in Anaheim.
Hogberg allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Senators win over the Red Wings on February 29th. Hogberg missed the last three games due to personal reasons but will return tonight in Anaheim. He's gone 0-3-3 with a 2.94 GAA and .910 SV% on the road this year while the Ducks are 3-1-1 with 2.60 goals per game in their last five home games.
Goalie Start
Varlamov will start Tuesday in Vancouver.
Varlamov allowed four goals on 29 shots in the Islanders loss in Ottawa last Thursday. Varlamov has struggled in his last 10 outings (eight starts), going 2-5-1 with a 2.59 GAA and .913 SV%. Tonight he faces a Canucks team that has lost five of their last six games (1-5-0) while averaging 2.67 goals for and 3.83 goals against per game.

Rittich led the Flames onto the ice for warmups.
Boqvist (wrist) is expected to be back in the Blackhawks lineup on Sunday.
Boqvist was a late-scratch from Friday's lineup after suffering a wrist injury in warmups. He was back on the ice for Sunday's morning skate and said he is "good-to-go" for tonight's game vs. the Blues.
Clutterbuck (undisclosed) is on the ice for warmups; expected to play vs. the Hurricanes.
Clutterbuck (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision on Saturday afternoon.
Clutterbuck left Thursday's game in Ottawa with an undisclosed injury and will be a game-time decision today vs. the Hurricanes. Monitor his status as the Islanders hit the ice for warmups at 12:30 PM ET. Clutterbuck has picked up just one goal in his last 19 games.

Varlamov will start Thursday in Ottawa.
Varlamov allowed two goals on 14 shots after replacing Thomas Greiss in the Islanders' loss to the Canadiens on Tuesday. Since mid-January, Varlamov has gone 2-4-1 with a 2.41 GAA and .919 SV% in nine games (seven starts). Tonight he faces a Senators team that is 4-2-0 while averaging 3.50 goals per game in their last six games in Ottawa.
Duclair (ankle) will return to the Senators lineup on Thursday.
Duclair has missed the last four games with an ankle injury but will draw back into the lineup tonight vs. the Islanders. Duclair will replace Artem Anisimov, who is out with an upper-body injury, and will skate on the third line with Nick Paul and Jayce Hawryluk.
Duclair (ankle) remains day-to-day and will not play Tuesday.
Duclair was in practice on Monday but will not play tonight in Pittsburgh. Head coach DJ Smith is hopeful that Duclar will be available for Thursday's game vs. the Islanders.
Hogberg has returned home for personal reasons; will not be available on Tuesday.
The Swedish netminder has been excellent for the Senators this season but will not be available for Tuesday's game in Pittsburgh. With Hogberg out, Filip Gustavsson has been recalled to serve as Craig Anderson's backup.

Tonight he’ll make his fourth straight game and comes in at 2-1-1 with a 3.65 GAA and .887 SV% in his last five starts. Today he faces a Lightning team that has lost four straight games while averaging 2.75 goals for and 5.25 goals against per game.
Clutterbuck (wrist) is on the ice for warmups; will return to the Islanders lineup on Saturday.

Varlamov is 11-5-4 with a 2.78 GAA and .910 SV% on home ice this season and is 1-0-1 with a 2.37 GAA and .919 SV% in his first two games vs. the Bruins.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Hogberg, who is 4-4-5 with a 3.11 GAA and .909 SV% on home ice this season. In his first start vs. the Red Wings, Hogberg allowed two goals on 28 shots in a 3-2 shootout loss (Jan.10).
