With Horvat coming out of the lineup, Elias Pettersson will move back to centre and Vasily Podkolzin will move back into the top-6.



Schenn missed two games while in COVID-19 protocol but will play Monday vs. the Predators. Schenn had one goal and one assist in three games after returning to the lineup from an upper-body injury.



Engvall missed the last three games while in the COVID-19 protocol list but is set to play Saturday in St. Louis. Engvall will replace Nick Ritchie (COVID-19 protocol) in the bottom-6.




Palat was held out of part of Tuesday's win in Buffalo and will not play Thursday vs. the Canucks. With Palat out, Mathieu Joseph skated on the top line in the morning skate.

With both Mitch Marner and Engvall landing on the COVID-19 protocol list, Brett Seney and Kyle Clifford are expected to re-enter the lineup on Saturday. Jason Spezza moved up to the third line to replace Engvall in Friday's practice session.

Schenn has been out since December 12th but was on the ice for Tuesday's practice and is expected to play Wednesday in Pittsburgh. Schenn will return on the wing and will skate with Ivan Barbashev and Pavel Buchnevich on the third line. Schenn had 10 points (4G / 6A) in 19 games before getting hurt.
