The 20th overall pick of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, Eiserman will turn pro at the start of next season after spending the last two seasons at Boston University. The 19-year-old winger tallied 43 goals and 21 assists in 71 career NCAA games. Eiserman will reportedly sign an amateur tryout with Bridgeport, the Islanders AHL affiliate, and spend the remainder of the season there before his pro contract officially begins next season.

Aitcheson was drafted 17th overall by the New York Islanders in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft and is awaiting his professional debut. The 19-year-old defenseman is having a tremendous fourth season in the OHL, scoring 70 points (28G / 42A) in 54 games with the Barrie Colts.

Sorokin has been one of the NHL's top netminders this season, but he has battled some adversity in recent weeks. The 30-year-old goalie has uncharacteristically allowed three or more goals in seven of his last nine games, but his team has often bailed him out, leading him to a 6-3-0 record despite pedestrian 3.02 GAA and .901 SV%.

Shabanov's first season in the NHL has not gone as hoped, with 16 points (4G / 12A) through 42 games. The 25-year-old forward has just one assist in his last 12 outings and is now battling a lower-body injury that could keep him out of the lineup on Tuesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Sorokin has been one of the NHL's best goalies this season, but has battled some adversity lately. Since returning from the Olympic break, the 30-year-old Sorokin has allowed three or more goals in four of five games, but has salvaged a 4-1-0 record despite a less-than-stellar 3.00 GAA and .896 SV%.

Duclair was surprisingly listed as a scratch on the official roster report despite taking full part in warmups Maxim Shabanov will dress in his place.

Shabanov will draw into the lineup in place of Anthony Duclair despite not taking part in line rushes during warmups. It's his first appearance since January 31st.

Sorokin was tremendous in his most recent outing, saving 30 of 31 shots (.968 SV%) in a 2-1 overtime win over the San Jose Sharks, and will return to the crease on Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues. The 30-year-old goalie has had some up-and-down performances lately, uncharacteristically allowing three or more goals in five of his last seven outings, yet he has not let that deter his winning ways, going 5-2-0.

Varlamov has not played in the 2025-26 season due to a knee injury and Islanders' GM Mathieu Darche announced on Friday that he does not expect Varlamov back this season. The 37-year-old veteran goalie has one year remaining on his contract with the Islanders.

Pageau, in his seventh season with the Islanders, has signed a three-year contract extension. The 33-year-old forward has solidified his reputation as a reliable two-way forward, perfectly fitting the playing style of the Islanders. In 55 games this season, he is averaging 15:28 time-on-ice, recording 29 points (14G / 15A), 45 blocks, and 81 hits.

After nine seasons with the St. Louis Blues, Schenn will join his fourth NHL team after being acquired in a trade by the New York Islanders. The 34-year-old Schenn will add some grit and goal scoring to an Islanders team trying to secure a spot in the postseason. In 61 games with the Blues this season, Schenn scored 28 points (12G / 16A) and recorded 138 hits.

Boqvist will be the odd-man out on the Islanders' blue-line on Thursday as Ryan Pulock (maintenance) is expected to re-enter the lineup. Boqvist has zero goals and one assist in 21 games this season.

Pulock is expected to return to the Islanders lineup on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday's game due to maintenance. The 31-year-old defenseman has 24 points (3G / 21A) in 59 games this season.

With Ryan Pulock (upper body) out of the lineup, Boqvist draw back in for the first time since January 26th. The 25-year-old Boqvist is averaging 12:30 time-on-ice and has one assist in 20 games this season.

Pulock played 22:12 time-on-ice and recorded an assist in the Islanders' previous game and was given the day off from practice on Tuesday for maintenance. That said, he will not play on Wednesday against the Anaheim Ducks. The 31-year-old defenseman has 24 points (3G / 21A) in 59 games this season. Adam Boqvist will enter the lineup as Pulock's replacement.

Duclair was a healthy scratch in the Islanders' final game before the Olympic break, following a game where he only played 3:04 time-on-ice. He made his return to the lineup in New York's previous game, but is clearly in poor standing with the team at the moment and will return to the sidelines. The 30-year-old Duclair has one assist and a -4 plus/minus in his last six games.
