Clutterbuck missed Monday’s game in Boston and is listed a day-to-day. His day-to-day tag suggests that he won’t play on Thursday, but monitor his status during the morning skate to be sure.

Varlamov allowed three goals on 32 shots in Colorado’s loss to the Predators on Saturday. Varlamov has lost his first two starts since returning to the crease, while allowing a combined six goals on 63 shots (.905 SV%). Varly is 3-9-0 with a 3.19 AGA ad .903 SV% on home ice and allowed four goals on 21 shots in a 4-0 loss in his first start vs. Chicago.

Clutterbuck will come out of the lineup on Monday because of an undisclosed minor injury. With Ladd out, Stephen Gionta will get back into the lineup. Consider Clutterbuck as day-to-day.

Varlamov has struggled mightily this season, going 6-14-0 with a 3.33 GAA and .901 SV% in 21 games. The Avalanche are a terrible team, which is going to limit his upside in the second half.

Duclair has had a very difficult first quarter of the season, having picked up just one goal and three assists in 23 games. Duclair will sit tonight and allow Brendan Perlini to make his NHL debut. Duclair is also apparently on the Coyotes’ trade block as well.
