Cody Glass (upper body) returned to practice Thursday but is still not ready for game speed.

Glass will miss his ninth straight game, out of the lineup since November 20th, but appears to be nearing a return after returning to practice on Thursday. Glass, the sixth overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, has only one point (0G / 1A) in nine games this season, averaging 13:46 time-on-ice.

Dougie Hamilton (torn left pectoral muscle) is out indefeintly and on Injured Reserve retroactive to November 28th.

Hamilton left Tuesday's game with an upper-body injury and did not return and has been placed on the injured reserve Thursday with a torn left pectoral muscle and is out indefinetly. Brendan Smith will replace Hamilton on the Devils' back end after his two game suspension is over. It is a tough loss for New Jersey who will now be without their top defensemen for a while who had five goals, 11 assists, 61 SOG, 20 PIMs and a -8 plus/minus through 20 games this season.

Declan Chisholm will enter the Jets' lineup Saturday vs. Chicago.

Nate Schmidt will be a healthy scratch on Saturday, allowing Chisholm to draw back in the lineup for his season debut with the Jets, marking his first NHL action since the 2021-22 season. Chisholm has five points (0G / 5A) and six penalty minutes in six games with the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.

Hamilton left Tuesday's game with an upper-body injury and did not return and has been placed on the injured reserve Thursday. Brendan Smith will replace Hamilton on the Devils' back end as he worked his way back after a slight stint on forward. It is a tough loss for New Jersey who will now be without their top defensemen who had five goals, 11 assists, 61 SOG, 20 PIMs and a -8 plus/minus through 20 games this season.

Hamilton left Tuesday's game with an upper-body injury and did not return. Head coach Lindy Ruff still has no update on Hamilton's status. Samuel Leberge will make his NHL debut, replacing Hamilton in the lineup but it will be Brendan Smith who moves back to the blueline.

Hischier (upper-body) has been activated off injured reserve and will play against the Sabres on Saturday.

Hischier has not played since exiting October 27th's game against the Sabres following an illegal check to the head by Connor Clifton. New Jersey's captain had endured a slow start prior to the injury, registering just two goals and zero assists in his opening seven games. He'll return to centre the Devils' second line tonight.

Riley Tufte has been reassigned to the Colorado Eagles (AHL).

Tufte appeared in two games in his latest call-up to the Avalanche and had a goal and an assist but has been reassigned to the Colorado Eagles (AHL) Saturday. The 25-year-old returns to the minors, where he was dominant prior to his promotion with nine goals, eight assists, six PIMs and a +4 plus/minus in 12 games played.

Jake Allen will start Saturday in Los Angeles.

Its been three games since Allen took the crease vs. Boston but he will look to snap a personal four-game losing streak Saturday as he takes on Los Angeles on the road. The 33-year-old has hovered around his career averages all season with his 3-4-1 record, 3.54 GAA and .907 SV%. He will take on the red hot Los Angeles Kings on the road who have won four straight and are second in the NHL in goals (4.0) and seventh in shots per game (32.2).

Declan Chisholm has been recalled from Manitoba (AHL).

Chisholm has been enjoying a strong start in Manitoba (AHL) with five assists and six PIMs in six games played so far in 2023-24 and has been recalled to Winnipeg for the first time this season. The 23-year-old defender returns to the NHL where he made his one and only appearance in 2021-22 with two games and no points.

Vladislav Kolyachonok will make his season debut for the Coyotes Saturday vs. Vegas.

Kolyachonok had two goals, an assist, six PIMs and a +5 plus/minus in 11 games with Tucson (AHL) and will make his season debut Saturday as he takes the spot of the struggling Matthew Dumba. The 22-year-old appeared in two games for the Coyotes in 2022-23 and failed to pick up a point.
