Daws led the Devils onto the ice for warmups.

Daws took a seat in the Devils' previous game as he backed up Akira Schmid in a loss but will make his eighth start in the last nine games on Tuesday. The 23-year-old has had an up-and-down second season in New Jersey but seems to be their starter for the time being, with his 7-8-0 record, 3.30 GAA and .895 SV%. He draws a favourable matchup on Tuesday in San Jose, who has lost three straight and is 31st in the NHL in goals per game (2.09).
