The recalling of Allen shows that Halak's setback that he suffered in yesterday's warmups is significant enough that he is going to miss more time. Allen could be in line for a start as Brian Elliott has struggled while Halak's been on the shelf, leading to a 5-game losing streak for the Blues.

Allen was brought up to serve as Brian Elliott's backup while Halak is out with a groin injury. He has no fantasy value.

With Seidenberg missing todays game it looks like rookie Dougie Hamilton will get a chance to play with Chara. This is a great opportunity for the young defenseman if he sees top pair minutes with big Z.
