Tatar was a late scratch from Wednesday’s game vs. the Blues, but he did practice this afternoon. Coach Jeff Blashill said that Tatar did not feel very well, but he is expected to play on Friday.

Allen who was injured in Saturday’s game in Anaheim and sat out Sunday’s contest. It wasn’t immediately clear how serious Allen’s injury was, but the Blues announced that he week-to-week, which means he will miss at least a few weeks. With Allen out, the Blues turn to Brian Elliott as their starter and Jordan Binnington as the backup. Elliott is 6-4-4 with a 2.33 GAA and .919 SV% this season.

Since taking over for the injured Ryan Miller, Markstrom has gone 4-2-1 with a 2.23 GAA and .927 SV% in seven straight starts. Tonight he starts vs. his former team at Rogers Arena—Markstrom is 3-4-1 with a 2.70 GAA and .906 SV% on home ice this season.


Allen left after Corey Perry collided with him. Allen left early in the second period, turning things over to Brain Elliott. There was no update on Allen’s status after the game, but expect Elliott to start on Saturday and there should be an update on Allen in the next few days.
