Spurgeon will miss at least the next could of games with a groin strain.

Spurgeon won’t play Wednesday vs. the Golden Knights or Saturday vs. the Blues as the Wild wait to see if his groin strain is a day-to-day thing or more of a week-to-week injury. With Spurgeon out, look for Ryan Murphy to remain in the lineup for the time being.

Bogosian (lower-body) will not make his season debut on Tuesday.

Bogosian has yet to play this season and was originally listed as a game-time decision for tonight’s game but head coach Phil Housely crushed that idea after the Sabres morning skate. The Sabres’ blueline has taken some lumps early this year so Bogosian’s return will be a big boon to their back-end.

Johansson left Wednesday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Johansson returned to the lineup on Wednesday after missing one game with a lower-body injury and he did not last long. Johansson crashed face-first into the end boards during his first shift of the game, but was able to leave the ice under his own power after being attended to by the medical staff. Head coach John Hynes said Johansson will be re-evaluated on Thursday.

The Canadiens have recalled Michael McCarron from Laval (AHL).

McCarron, 22, was a first round pick (No.25 overall) in 2013 and has appeared in 51 career NHL games, recording just seven points (2G / 5A). The 6-foot-6, 230 lbs. forward has registered two goals and two assists in six games with the Laval Rocket so far this year. He comes up because Ales Hemsky is dealing with an upper-body injury.

Fabbri will undergo his second knee surgery this year; will miss the 2017-18 season.

Fabbri underwent knee surgery after suffering an ACL injury last February and will have to have another surgery after re-injuring the knee in training camp. Fabbri was reportedly told that he had a 3% chance of re-injury and unfortunately the young forward fell into that percentage. With Fabbri out for the season, the Blues have discussed signing Jaromir Jagr.
