Pickard has been returned to the AHL to make room for Jonathan Bernier to be activated from IR. Pickard is 14-9-3 with a 2.87 GAA and .903 SV% in 26 AHL games this season.
Bogosian (illness) will not play on Saturday.

Even with Buffalo going with seven defensemen on Tuesday, Bogosian will be the odd man out. He played in the final two games before their bye week but will sit as a healthy scratch for the third time in six games when the Sabres host the Senators. Colin Miller takes his place in the lineup.
The Sharks recalled Dylan Gambrell from San Jose (AHL).
Gambrell hasn't played in an NHL game since December 17th but gets another shot with the Sharks after scoring three goals with nine assists (12 points) in 15 AHL games. The 23-year-old had six points (2G / 4A) in 30 NHL games before being sent down.
The Predators recalled Yakov Trenin from Milwaukee (AHL).
Trenin played in seven games before the bye week but was a healthy scratch in the last game. The 23-year-old has six points (2G / 4A) in 13 games with the Predators this season.

The Predators have reassigned Yakov Trenin to Milwaukee (AHL).
Trenin has appeared in seven straight games, picking up one goal and three assists but heads back to the AHL, where he has 26 points (14G / 12A) in 20 games this season. Austin Watson will likely replace him on Saturday.
Pickard has been recalled to serve as Jimmy Howard's backup on Sunday.
Jonathan Bernier is not on the ice for warmups, so Pickard has re-joined the Red Wings and will be Howard's backup vs. the Sabres.

Bogosian was a healthy scratch on Saturday but will draw in as a seventh defenseman on Sunday. Bogosian will replace Jimmy Vesey.

Vesey was promoted to the top line on Saturday but will come out of the lineup in Detroit. The Sabres will go back to 11 forwards and seven defensemen, re-inserting Zach Bogosian into the lineup.

With Mikko Koivu expected to return to the Wild's lineup on Tuesday, Sturm heads back to Iowa where he has 12 points (6G / 6A) in 25 games this season.
The Red Wings have reassigned Calvin Pickard to Grand Rapids (AHL).
With Jonathan Bernier returning to the crease last night, Pickard was the No.3 goalie on the Red Wings roster. So he returns to the AHL, where he is 9-7-3 with a 3.03 GAA and .893 SV% in 19 games this season.
