Kuemper allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Coyotes win over the Sharks on Wednesday. Kuemper shockingly extended his winning streak to four games, stopping 105 of the 113 shots (.929 SV%) that he has faced over that stretch. Tonight’s matchup will make it difficult to get to five in a row—he allowed four goals on 32 shots in a 4-0 loss in his first start vs. the Penguin (Nov.10).
Kuemper allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Coyotes win in Edmonton on Saturday. Kuemper is riding a surprising three-game winning streak, stopping 79 of the 84 shots (.941 SV%) that he faced. He will look to stay hot against the Sharks, who he beat back in December, stopping 35 of the 38 shots he faced in a shootout victory.
Moore spent some time with the Maple Leafs while Zach Hyman was sidelined, collecting one goal and two assists in six games. Moore has impressed with the Marlies as well, tying for the team-lead in goals (19) and adding seven assists (26 points) in 30 games.
Kuemper stopped all 23 shots that he faced in the Coyotes 5-0 shutout win over the Rangers on Sunday. The win snapped Kuemper’s three-game losing streak and moved him to 6-11-3 on the season. As well as he played on the weekend, Kuemper is 3-6-1 with a 3.10 GAA and .902 SV% on the road this season and should remain on your bench or the waiver wire tonight.
The Blues went with seven defensemen in their last game but with Vladimir Tarasenko (illness) returning to the lineup, Edmundson will be the defenseman to sit. Edmundson has just seven points (1G / 6A) in 34 games.
Kuemper allowed five goals on 37 shots in the Coyotes loss to the Golden Knights last Sunday. Kuemper finished December with just one win in seven games while posting a 3.18 GAA and .900 SV%. Despite a solid matchup vs. a banged up Devils team that is 4-13-3 on the road this season, Keumper remains a desperate option.
Armia has missed the last 26 games with a knee injury but will play Thursday for the first time since November 6th. Armia will skate on a line with Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Artturi Lehkonen and has three goals and four assists (seven points) in 15 games this season.
Moore continues to be sent down and called-up but these are likely just “paper moves” to save the team money. He has been solid in his brief time with the Maple Leafs, picking up two assists in three contests.
Kuemper gave up three goals on 38 shots in the Coyotes win in San Jose last Sunday. It was Kuemper’s first win since November 15th, snapping a personal six-game losing streak. Kuemper is 1-4-0 with a 3.03 GAA and .904 SV% since returning from injury but draws a solid matchup in Los Angeles. However, Kuemper has an ugly 3.22 GAA and .900 SV% on the road this year.
Moore recorded an assist in his NHL debut before the Christmas break and returns to the Maple Leafs with Tyler Ennis out. Moore has 17 goals and seven assists (24 points) in 27 games with the Marlies.
Kuemper allowed three goals on 32 shots in the Coyotes loss to the Islanders on Tuesday. Kuemper has dropped all three of his games since returning to the Coyotes crease, allowing a combined 10 goals on 91 shots (.890 SV%). Kuemper has had his moments this season but has been sub-par on most nights and is a risky option even against a Canadiens team on the tail-end of a back-to-back.
Panarin was a late scratch from Monday’s game due to a lower-body injury but will replace Lukas Sedlak on Thursday. Panarin has nine goals and 25 assists (34 points) in 31 games this season.
Kuemper allowed three goals on 33 shots in the Coyotes loss in Buffalo last Thursday. Kuemper lost both of his starts since retuning from injury while allowing a combined seven goals on 59 shots (.881 SV%). The Islanders present a nice home matchup for Kuemper but a goalie with a career .912 SV% is difficult to trust regardless of matchup.
