Byfield missed the start of the season with an injury and went straight to the AHL when he was healthy. The 19-year-old picked up four goals and two assists (six points) in 11 games with Ontario.




Armia and Cole Caufield were added to the COVID-19 protocol list on Tuesday, so look for Michael Pezzetta and someone from the taxi squad to enter the lineup in Dallas.


Perunovich will come out of the lineup on Monday due to an undisclosed injury. Replacing him will be Colton Parayko, who is set to return from the COVID-19 protocol list.

Kempe likely will not be available for Monday's in San Jose after being added to the COVID-19 protocol list on Sunday afternoon. Samuel Fagemo replaced Kempe on the top line in Sunday's practice.




Turcotte missed two games while in COVID-19 protocol but was on the ice for Sunday's practice and is expected to be back in the Kings lineup on Monday. Turcotte, is still looking for his first career NHL point, will centre the third line with Dustin Brown and Rasmus Kupari/Martin Frk on his wings.

Panarin missed the last four games while in COVID-19 protocol but was back at practice on Sunday and is expected to play Monday vs. the Kings. The Rangers managed to go 3-1-0 without Panarin but his return will obviously be a very welcomed addition to the top-6 and PP1. Panarin has registered 10 goals and 26 assists (36 points) in 31 games this season.


Perunovich, who was absolutely torching the AHL when he was called up hasn't had the same level of success at the NHL level. He has just one assist in his last nine games and has yet to score in 18 games. He'll be replaced by Robert Bortuzzo on Friday and will likely miss two games.


Turcotte and Alex Iafallo entered COVID-19 protocol on Monday, leading to Rasmus Kupari replacing him as the Kings' No.3 centre in Wednesday's practice. Expect Turcotte to miss one or two games and could return to the AHL upon being activated.


Pederson will not be available for Tuesday's game in Detroit and will likely miss all three games this week. In addition to Pederson, Logan Couture was also placed on the COVID-19 protocol list.
