Kuemper will start Thursday in Detroit.

Kuemper stopped 33 of 35 shots (.943 SV%) but was unfortunately on the losing side of a 3-2 overtime loss to Carolina his last time out. Since signing in the off-season from Colorado, Kuemper has been incredibly solid, posting a 4-3-0 record to go along with his .922 SV% and 2.39 GAA. He faces the Detroit Red Wings Thursday who have been stumbling as of late, dropping three of their last four games and only scoring more than two goals once during that time.

Forsberg picked up his third straight loss stopping 30 of 34 shots (.900 SV%) his last time out in a 4-3 loss to Tampa Bay. Cam Talbot returns to the bench Thursday but will only back up Forsberg who has posted a 3-5-0 record with a 3.18 GAA and .909 SV%. He draws the tough task of taking on Vegas who leads the NHL in wins, points and least amount of goals allowed per game (1.73).

Ottawa is in the bottom-10 in the NHL in shots against, so he'll be busy most nights. He comes into Tuesday at 3-4-0 with a 3.04 GAA and .913 SV% in seven games.

Kuemper was perfect his last time taking the crease, stopping 34 of 34 shots for his first shutout as a member of the Washington Capitals in a 3-0 win over Nashville. He has enjoyed a solid start to his Washington tenure, posting a .919 SV% and 2.48 GAA to go along with his 4-3-0 record. He faces Carolina who is coming off a 4-3 overtime win over Florida and averages the sixth most amount of shots per game (36.4).

Kuemper will start Thursday in Dallas.

Kuemper stopped 23 of 26 shots as he won his third game in four starts 4-3 vs. Los Angeles his last time out. In his first season with the Capitals, Kuemper has struggled to find his footing, posting a .899 SV% and 3.04 GAA across his first five starts. He takes on Dallas, who is 1st in the Central, even though they've lost their last two games.
