Kuemper will start Game 1 vs. the Oilers.

Kuemper did not play the Kings' final two games of the season, but he will return to the crease for Game One against the Edmonton Oilers. The 34-year-old Kuemper sported one of the best seasons of his career, posting a stellar 2.02 GAA, .921 SV%, and five shutouts in 50 appearances (31-11-7). In addition, Kuemper was outstanding against the Oilers this season, posting a 1.05 GAA and .960 SV% in four games (3-1-0). The Kings enter Game One as -126 home favorites against the Oilers.

Burroughs will draw into the Kings lineup on Tuesday.

The Kings are already locked into the second spot in the Pacific division, so Burroughs will slot in along with Caleb Jones, Trevor Lewis, and Akil Thomas for Tuesday's game in Seattle. Mikey Anderson, Drew Doughty, Anze Kopitar, and Quinton Byfield will all get the night off.

Kuemper will be tending the twine for the Kings, looking to build on a stellar 2024-25 campaign, boasting a 2.05 GAA, .920 SV%, and five shutouts in 49 appearances (30-11-7). The 34-year-old Kuemper made 27 saves in a 3-0 shutout victory over the Oilers on April 5th. The Kings enter Monday's contest as -145 road favorites against an Oilers team without Connor McDavid (rest) and Leon Draisaitl (undisclosed).

Doughty (ankle) will return to Los Angeles' lineup on Monday in Edmonton.

Doughty has not played since April 5th due to an ankle injury but will return to the lineup on Monday against the Edmonton Oilers. The 35-year-old Doughty missed the first four months of the season but has been excellent since returning, averaging 24:18 time-on-ice and scoring 17 points (4G / 13A) in 28 games.
