Florida Panthers News

Florida has acquired Vinnie Hinostoza from Minnesota for future considerations.

Hinostroza had a brief stint with the Florida Panthers in the 2020-21 season and will return there after spending most of the past two seasons with the Minnesota Wild. The 31-year-old forward averaged 10:18 time-on-ice and scored 10 points (3G / 7A) in 48 games this season with Minnesota.

Greer is a healthy scratch for Thursday's game in Columbus.

Given it's the final game before the NHL's trade deadline, there is plenty of speculation that sitting Greer tonight may be due to roster management purposes, but the Panthers have not confirmed that to be the case. Greer has appeared in 61 games this season, tallying 11 goals and 11 assists.

Tarasov will start in Columbus on Thursday.

Sergei Bobrovsky's name has begun circulating in trade rumours as the trade deadline approaches, which, along with his inconsistent play between the pipes, has given Tarasov a start on Thursday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 26-year-old Tarasov was excellent in his only outing since resuming from the Olympic break, saving 36 of 38 shots (.947 SV%), but did not receive enough goal support, falling 3-2 to the Buffalo Sabres. The Panthers enter Thursday's contest as slight -102 road underdogs against a Blue Jackets team that is 9-1-1 in their last 11 games.

Florida has signed Louis Domingue to a one-year, two-way contract.

Domingue has spent most of his career in the AHL, but is no stranger to NHL competition, with a 3.02 GAA and .906 SV% in 144 career games (61-60-10). The 33-year-old goalie is currently playing in the AHL with the Charlotte Checkers, where he has a 3.20 GAA and .831 SV% in seven games (3-3-0).

Bjornfot (undisclosed) will draw back into Florida's lineup in New Jersey on Tuesday.

Bjornfot has not played since Florida returned to action from the Olympic break, but he will re-enter the lineup on Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils. The 24-year-old Swedish defenseman is averaging 11:20 time-on-ice and has three points (2G / 1A) in 10 games this season. Jeff Petry will be a healthy scratch to accommodate Bjornfot's return.

Tobias Bjornfot
Balinskis (lower-body) will draw back into Florida's lineup in New Jersey on Tuesday.

Balinskis did not play in Florida's previous game due to a lower-body injury, but he will return to the lineup on Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils. The 29-year-old defenseman is averaging 16:20 time-on-ice and has 14 points (5G / 9A) in 50 games this season. Donovan Sebrango will be a healthy scratch to accommodate Balinskis' return.

Uvis Balinskis
Nosek (knee) will make his season debut in New Jersey on Tuesday.

Nosek suffered a knee injury during the offseason and has yet to play in 2025-26, but will make his season debut on Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils. Nosek is entering his 11th NHL season after winning his first Stanley Cup with Florida last season in a complementary role, which saw him put up a goal and nine points in 59 games played.

Bobrovsky will start in New Jersey on Tuesday.

Bobrovsky had a poor showing in his previous outing, continuing a lackluster 2025-26 season by allowing five goals on 26 shots (.808 SV%) in a 5-4 loss to the New York Islanders. The veteran 37-year-old goalie has allowed three or more goals in eight of his last 10 starts (4-6-0). The Panthers enter Tuesday's action as -116 road favourites against a New Jersey Devils team that has struggled offensively, scoring three or fewer goals in nine straight games (2-7-0).
