Savoie is week-to-week with an upper-body injury.

Savoie suffered the injury just one shift into the Sabres' Prospect Showcase on Monday. Savoie will miss the start of training camp and will likely start the 2023-24 season in the AHL. The 19-year-old is one of the Sabres' top prospects and is coming off of a season where he had 95 points (38G / 57A) in 62 games with the Winnipeg Ice (WHL).

Boston has signed Trent Frederic to a two-year, $4.6 million contract extension ($2,300,000 AAV).

Frederic enjoyed a breakout season with the Bruins in 2022-23 with 17 goals, 14 assists, 120 SOG, 57 PIMs and a +28 plus/minus while playing a bottom-six role and has signed a two-year, $4.6 million contract extension ($2,300,000 AAV). The 25-year-old centre was Boston's 2016 first-round pick (29th overall) and has collected 29 goals, 54 points and 194 PIMs across 198 career NHL games.

Boston has signed Alec Regula to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000.

Regula failed to pick up a point across four NHL games in 2022-23 but was a -3 plus/minus and had four PIMs and has been signed to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 with Boston. The 22-year-old defenseman's rights were acquired by Boston as a piece in the deal which saw Taylor Hall land in Chicago and he brings a goal, 21 SOG and 16 PIMs across 22 career NHL games to the Bruins.

The Penguins signed Tristan Jarry to a five-year contract worth $26.875 million ($5.375M AAV).

Jarry was 24-13-7 with a 2.90 GAA and .909 SV% in 2022-23 and has signed a five-year contract extension worth $26.875 million ($5.375M AAV). The 28-year-old goaltender was drafted by the Penguins in the second-round of the 2013 draft (44th overall) and has a 117-60-20 career record, 2.65 GAA and .914 SV% through seven seasons in Pittsburgh.

Alec Regula's rights have been traded to Boston alongside Ian Mitchell's for Taylor Hall and Nick Foligno.

Regula failed to pick up a point across four NHL games in 2022-23 but was a -3 plus/minus and had four PIMs and has had his rights traded alongside Ian Mitchell's rights to Boston for forwards Taylor Hall and the rights to Nick Foligno. The 22-year-old is currently a UFA and has played in 22 NHL games across three seasons, picking up a goal and 16 PIMs.

Connor Ingram has signed a three-year, $1.95 Million contract extension with Arizona.

Ingram was 6-13-8 with a 3.37 GAA and .907 SV% during 2022-23 and has signed a $1.95 Million contract extension with Arizona to remain in a goalie tandem with Karel Vejmelka. The 26-year-old goaltender will be entering his third NHL season in 2023-24, having played in 30 games with both Nashville and Arizona.

Jayden Grubbe has had his rights traded from the New York Rangers to the Edmonton Oilers for a 2023 fifth-round pick.

Grubbe had 18 goals, 49 assists, 71 PIMs and a +10 plus/minus through 64 games with the Red Deer Rebels (WHL) this season and has had his rights traded from the New York Rangers to the Edmonton Oilers for a 2023 fifth-round pick. The 20-year-old has yet to sign an NHL contract but is expected to after spending three years as Red Deer's captain.

Darnell Nurse has been suspended 1 game for instigating a fight during the final five minutes of Game 4.

Nurse was charged with an instigating penalty for a fight against Vegas' Nicolas Hague in the final minute of Game 4 which will lead to an automatic 1 game suspension. The 28-year-old has four assists, 20 SOG, 21 PIMs and is a +1 plus/minus through 10 playoff games thus far.

Mattias Janmark (foot) will return to the Oilers' lineup for Game 1 vs. Vegas.

Janmark hasn't played since Game 1 of the Oilers' opening series vs. Los Angeles but is expected back for the opening game of their second series vs. Vegas on Wednesday. The 30-year-old had one assist, two SOG and a +1 plus/minus in 14:52 TOI in his only game of the playoffs.

Trent Frederic is expected to draw back into Boston's lineup for Game 6.

Frederic was a healthy scratch for Boston's Game 5 loss but will draw back into the lineup for Game 6 as he replaces Jakob Lauko. The 25-year-old has yet to pick up a point through four games so far in the playoffs, but has 10 PIMs, seven SOG and a -1 plus/minus.

Mattias Janmark (undisclosed) is expected to be out for Game 2 and likely the entire first round.

Janmark played 14:52 TOI in Game 1, picking up an assist, two SOG and a +1 plus/minus but is now expected to be out for Game 2 after blocking a shot last game and limping off the ice. The 30-year-old is considered day-to-day for the time being after having a solid 2022-23 regular season where he picked up 10 goals, 25 points and +9 plus/minus through 66 games.

Jarry stopped 22 of 25 shots (.880 SV%) to snap a two-game winning streak with a loss to the Chicago Blackhawks in his previous start. The 27-year-old has had an up-and-down injury-filled year, with his 24-13-6 record, .909 SV% and 2.90 GAA. He takes on the Columbus Blue Jackets, who have four players making their NHL debuts and have lost four-straight games prior to Thursday.

Jarry stopped 19 of 20 shots (.950 SV%) for his second-straight win as he beat the Detroit Red Wings in his previous start. The 27-year-old has had a decent overall season filled with injuries, as he has a 24-12-6 record, 2.89 GAA and .910 SV%. He will take on the lowly Chicago Blackhawks, who have lost three straight and 11 of their last 12 games.
