Draisaitl exited Thursday's 3-2 win over the San Jose Sharks after only 10:04 time-on-ice due to an undisclosed injury and did not return to the contest. The 29-year-old Draisaitl has been ruled out of Saturday's divisional contest against the Los Angeles Kings. It's unclear if his current ailment is related to the injury that kept him out of the lineup for several games in March but he is expected to return before the playoffs.

Frederic was acquired Trent Frederic from the Bruins in a three-way trade that also included the Devils prior to the trade deadline. His debut has been delayed over a month due to a lower-body injury, but he could make his debut on Saturday against the Los Angeles Kings.
