Myers, who just returned from an elbow injury, is now sidelined with a different upper-body ailment now. Rasmus Ristolainen is up from Rochester and will play tonight, but it does not sound like Myers will be out long-term.

Myers who had just returned to the lineup on Tuesday after missing five games with an elbow injury, suffered an upper-body injury in his first game back and will likely "miss some time" according to Sabres head coach Ted Nolan. With Myers out, Rasmus Ristolainen has been recalled from Rochester.

Myers has missed the last five games with an arm injury that he suffered in mid-March. The Sabres sent 19-year-old Rasmus Ristolainen back to the AHL to make space for Myers. He has nine goals, 13 assists and 58 penalty minutes with a minus-26 rating in 61 games this season. At 24-years-old, the 6-foot-8 D-man has certainly taken a step back in the last four seasons after a great rookie campaign in 2009-10.

Petrovic who was just recalled lands on IR for the second time this season. He has been recalled on multiple occasions, but injuries have limited him to just seven games with the Panthers. Colby Robak was recalled on Saturday and will replace Petrovic.

Myers has been battling an undisclosed injury lately, but has still been playing nearly 25 minutes a night. He will take a seat tonight and call-up Rasmus Ristolainen will be in.

Petrovic had no points in five games with the Panthers earlier this season, but then suffered an upper-body injury which cost him his spot with the big-club. He is back now with Erik Gudbranson out and has recorded two goals and 11 assists (13 points) in 43 games in San Antonio.

Myers missed the Sabres last two games before the Olympic break with a knee injury that he suffered on February 3 vs. Edmonton. Myers has just one assist with an ugly minus-11 in his last eight games. He should see his regular 20-plus minutes in his return on Tuesday.

Myers was expected to miss tonight's game, but interim head coach Ted Nolan confirmed that he is not healthy enough to play. Chad Ruhwedel will re-enter the lineup in Myers spot. The Sabres are hopeful that Myers will be available on Thursday.

Myers was injured on Monday, but the injury is not as serious as originally expected. He is listed as day-to-day and may miss tonight's tilt with the Penguins.

Alexander Sulzer is likely to take a seat in the press box with Myers returning. Myers has 12 points (4G / 8A) with an ugly minus-15 rating in 42 games this season.

Myers will not play tomorrow, Thursday or Sunday. He is eligible to returns to the lineup next Tuesday vs. Philadelphia.

The Sabres have three games this week, so monitor Myers status on Monday before finalizing your lineups in weekly leagues. With a phone hearing he is not expected to be given a lengthy suspension, but as a repeat offender he will likely get at least one game.

Petrovic was injured in Saturday's game vs. the Predators. Petrovic has played in the last five games since being recalled. He has been held off the score sheet, but had a plus-4 rating. He joins Dylan Olsen and Erik Gudbranson as injured Panthers defensemen. Expect Mike Mottau to slide into the lineup, unless the Panthers decide to recall another defenseman.

Seguin missed practice on Friday because of the flu, but his presence at the morning skate suggests that he is good-to-go and will be in the lineup tonight vs. the Red Wings. Seguin has two goals and two assists in his last two games and has totalled 41 points (21G / 20A) in 38 games.

Petrovic was the 36th overall pick in 2010. The 6-foot-4 defenseman skated in his first six NHL games with the Panthers last year. In 30 games with San Antonio this season, Petrovic has two goals and 11 points with a plus-6 rating.

There is no word on how severe the injury to Myers is, but there should be a detailed injury report released in the next few days. For now consider the towering defenseman day-to-day. He has struggled with just two goals and eight points with a minus-13 rating in 31 games.

You might remember the Maple Leafs trading the first round pick (that turned out to be Seguin) another first and a second to the Bruins for Phil Kessel. Since that trade there has been a lot of history between Seguin and the Maple Leafs. On top of that he was born 45 minutes away from Toronto in Brampton, Ontario. Since his four-goal game against Calgary on November 14, Seguin has just one assist in five games. He missed two games with the concussion, but will rejoin Rich Peverly and Jaime Benn on the Stars top line tonight.

Because of that, Seguin was not made available to the media. However, linemate Jamie Benn did say he is hopeful Seguin can return. “I think it would be a huge deal,” Benn said with a smile. “He’s a good player. He can definitely help us.” Monitor Seguin's status in warmups.

Seguin reportedly skated really hard for 45 minutes on Wednesday and is practicing again this morning, so there is definitely a chance that Seguin could return tonight. It is a big game for Seguin, who has a lot of history with the Maple Leafs and he is from nearby Brampton, Ontario. Monitor his status prior to puck-drop.

Seguin is not available to the media due to the Stars concussion protocol, at this time there is no official update. Skating this morning is a good sign, as he works his way back in an attempt to be in the lineup tomorrow vs. Toronto. Monitor his status tomorrow morning.
