Greaves was recalled again for another one-game backup stint and did so Thursday before being sent back down to Cleveland (AHL) Wednesday. The 21-year-old heads back to Cleveland, where he has a 6-6-4 record with a 3.69 GAA and .885 SV%.

Merzlikins' nightmarish 2022-23 season adds one more piece to the puzzle as the 28-year-old netminder is now considered day-to-day with a lingering illness. It has been rough goings for the goaltender who holds the league's worst SV% (.865 SV%) and GAA (4.62) so he will be hoping to return to the Blue Jackets' when he is over the illness.

Copley allowed three goals on 31 shots (.903 SV%) for his ninth win in 10 starts as he beat Edmonton in his previous start. The 30-year-old has been a mid-season revelation for the Kings, with his 11-2-0 record, 2.56 GAA and .904 SV%. He will face the San Jose Sharks who won their last game 4-2 vs Arizona, and are 22nd in both shots per game (29.9) and goals per game (3.07).

Merlikins allowed one goal on only 19 shots (.947 SV%) but took the hard-luck loss for his third straight defeat as he was downed by Washington in his last start. The 28-year-old currently has the league's worst SV%, with his .865 SV%, and glaringly ugly 4.52 GAA to go along with his 4-10-0 record. He will be hoping for some more positive luck as he takes on Tampa Bay, who has lost their last two games but still rank sixth in the NHL in goals for per game (3.47).

Greaves will serve as Elvis Merzlikins' backup on Tuesday with Joonas Korpisalo unavailable for personal reasons. Greaves has gone 6-6-2 with a 3.69 GAA and .885 SV% in 15 AHL games this season.
