The Avalanche reassigned Barre-Boulet to the Colorado Eagles (AHL) on Monday.

Barre-Boulet was a late addition to Colorado's lineup on Monday as Valeri Nichushkin was announced out because of an upper-body injury, but will now return to the AHL. The 28-year-old Barre-Boulet has 37 points (12G / 25A) in 36 games with the Colorado Eagles (AHL) this season.

Nichushkin was involved in a car accident on Monday and sustained a minor upper-body injury.

Nichushkin was an unexpected late scratch before Monday's game against the Washington Capitals because of the upper-body injury. Nichushkin was involved in a small "fender bender" but reportedly did not suffer any major injuries. The 30-year-old Nichushkin recorded an assist in his most recent game, snapping a six-game scoreless skid. He has 27 points (11G / 16A) in 38 games this season.

Wedgewood has been recovering from an ailment and has not played since January 8th, but he will return to the crease on Monday against the Washington Capitals. The 33-year-old Wedgewood has been tremendous for Colorado this season, but was amid a rough stretch before his brief hiatus, posting a 3.04 GAA and .890 SV% in his last five games (3-2-0). Still, the Avalanche enter Monday’s contest against the Washington Capitals as significant -200 home favorites.

Blackwood will start vs. Nashville on Friday.

Blackwood has not played since New Year's Eve due to a lower-body injury, but was activated from IR on Wednesday and will return to the crease on Friday against the Nashville Predators. The 29-year-old Blackwood has struggled with injuries throughout his career, a trend that has unfortunately continued this season, but he has been exceptional when healthy, posting a stellar 2.07 GAA and .924 SV% in 16 games (13-1-1). The Avalanche enter Friday's contest as enormous -300 home favorites against a Predators team on a two-game winning streak.

Colton (upper-body) will play on Friday vs. Nashville after missing practice on Thursday.

Colton has been productive in primarily a bottom-six role for Colorado this season, scoring 20 points (5G / 15A) in 45 games. He did not practice on Thursday because of a lower-body injury, but he will not miss any time and will suit up to play on Friday against the Nashville Predators.

Trent Miner has been reassigned to the Colorado Eagles (AHL).

With Mackenzie Blackwood and Scott Wedgewood both battling through some ailments, Miner played two games for Colorado, including recording his first career shutout in a 4-0 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. The 24-year-old goalie has a 2.03 GAA and .923 SV% in four games with the Avalanche this season (1-0-3).

Tynan is expected to be a healthy scratch on Monday vs. Toronto.

Ivan Ivan will draw back into Colorado's lineup on Monday against the Toronto Maple Leafs, sending Tynan to the sidelines as a healthy scratch. The 33-year-old Tynan made his season debut in Colorado's most recent game, recording 8:13 time-on-ice and tallying one shot on goal.

Ivan made his NHL debut last season and scored eight points (5G / 3A) in 40 games with the Avalanche, but has spent most of the 2025-26 campaign in the AHL. The 23-year-old Czech forward has eight points (2G / 6A) in 30 games with the Eagles (AHL) this season. T.J. Tynan will exit the lineup as a healthy scratch.
