Toninato was a fifth round pick in 2012 and has registered three goals and three assists in 13 games in his first pro year with the Rampage. The 23-year-old will centre a line with Nail Yakupov and Sven Andrighetto on his wings.

Weber was a late scratch on Thursday but was back on the ice this morning and could be back on Saturday. Weber remains a question mark, but at least it doesn’t appear to be a serious injury.

Dickinson, 22, has registered six goals and one assist (seven points) in nine games with Texas so far this season. The 6-foot-2, 205 lbs. forward has three goals in 11 career NHL games.

After being dropped to the third line on Friday, Burakovsky recorded a goal and assist, but he is reportedly banged up following this weekend’s back-to-back set. The Capitals are off until Thursday, so even if he’s kept off of the ice today he could avoid missing any time.

Burakovsky has just two assists in seven games in the Capitals’ top-6 so he was moved to the third line with Tom Wilson taking his spot with Nicklas Backstrom and T.J. Oshie. Burakovsky will be difficult to trust in fantasy circles while he’s outside the top-6.

Murphy was healthy scratched in Montreal on Tuesday to allow Cody Franson to get into the lineup, but look for the two to swap spots again tonight. Murphy, who was acquired for Niklas Hjalmarsson this offseason, has no points on three shots with seven hits in three games this season.

Grzelcyk cracked the opening night roster thanks to a Torey Krug preseason injury, but with Krug set to return on Monday, Grzelcyk was sent back to the AHL. The 23-year-old was a plus-1 with two shots on goal in 12:11 TOI in the season opener. He returns to Providence where he had 32 points (6G / 26A) in 70 games during his first professional campaign.

This is an unfortunate injury for Bertuzzi, who was expected to open the season with the Red Wings after dazzling in the AHL playoffs last spring. Bertuzzi could still be a Red Wing when he’s healthy, but this injury opens the door for Martin Frk or Luke Witkowski to open the season as their No.12 forward.

Ellis underwent knee surgery in June and is expected to miss the first three months of the season, at the very least. This is a huge blow to the Predators’ talented blueline as Ellis is coming off of a career-highs in goals (16) and points (38). With Ellis sidelined, look for offseason acquisition Alexei Emelin to play a more prominent role and for Matt Irwin to see regular playing time.
