The Flyers have recalled Jackson Cates from Lehigh Valley (AHL).
Cates has scored two goals and four assists (six points) in 21 AHL games this season. The 24-year-old has scored one goal with one assist in 11 career NHL games. He'll replace Kevin Hayes (lower-body) on the active roster.

Knight will start Tuesday in Calgary.
Byram (personal) will not play Tuesday in Nashville.
Bertuzzi (laceration) will play Tuesday in San Jose.
Cates has been activated from the COVID-19 protocol list and is expected to play Saturday.
Cates missed the last two games while in COVID-19 protocol but will replace Connor Bunnaman in the lineup on Saturday. Cates has scored one goal while averaging just 8:36 TOI/gm in four games with the Flyers this season.
Knight has been placed on the COVID-19 protocol list; will not be available on Thursday.
Knight likely was not going to start Thursday's game anyways but he will now be out for at least five days. Expect Sergei Bobrovsky to start both Thursday and Saturday's games.
Ellis has cleared COVID-19 protocol but is still out indefinitely with a lower-body injury.

The Kraken added Ryan Donato to the COVID-19 protocol list on Sunday (Dec.26).
The Kraken added three players to the COVID-19 protocol list on Sunday and Monday but they are hopeful they will get a couple of bodies back ahead of Wednesday's game vs. the Flyers.
The Panthers recalled Spencer Knight from Charlotte (AHL).
Knight has had a tough season with the Panthers, going 6-4-2 with a 3.42 GAA and .892 SV% in 13 games. He was sent to the AHL to get some playing time but ended up starting just one game, where he allowed five goals and 32 shots (.844 SV%).
Greenway (lower-body) did not travel to Dallas for Monday's game.
Greenway's lower-body injury is considered minor and will not play Monday in Dallas. Kevin Fiala will move up into Greenway's spot with Joel Eriksson Ek and Marcus Foligno.

Knight was expected to be in a timeshare with Sergei Bobrovsky this season but has been badly outplayed by the veteran, going 6-4-2 with a 3.42 GAA and .892 SV%. He gave up eight goals to the Senators on Tuesday and will get some time in the AHL to work on his game.
The Predators have recalled Cole Smith from Milwaukee (AHL).
The Predators have had a COVID-19 outbreak, so Smith is part of the reinforcements coming up from Milwaukee. Smith has five goals and seven assists (12 points) in 20 AHL games this season.
Cole has been added to the COVID-19 protocol list.
