Jarvis and Sebastian Aho were moved into COVID-19 protocol after positive tests on Monday, meaning they will have to stay in Vancouver and are not expected to be available in Minnesota on Tuesday.

Aho was a late scratch on Sunday with what was called a non-COVID illness. He must have tested positive on Monday, leading to him being placed on the protocol list and being left behind in Vancouver. Seth Jarvis was also placed on the protocol list.

Dzingel suffered an upper-body on Friday and will not play this week. Alex Galchenruk replaced him on Saturday and should remain in the lineup this week.




Svechnikov missed Saturday's game vs. the Sabres but is expected to play tonight in Winnipeg. Svechnikov will face-off against his brother, Evgeny, tonight and comes in with nine goals and 12 assists (21 points) in 22 games this season.


With Tony DeAngelo placed on the COVID-19 protocol list, Chatfield was recalled from the AHL and travelled to Dallas for Tuesday's game. Chatfield has scored four goals with three assists (seven points) in 17 AHL games this season and has one assist in 18 career NHL games with the Canucks.




Jarvis will stay with the Hurricanes beyond the nine-game mark, meaning he will burn the first year of his entry-level contract. Jarvis has been fantastic on the Hurricanes' top line, scoring goals in three straight games while averaging 4.0 shots per game.


Dzingel has missed the last 10 games with an upper-body injury but is set to play Thursday vs. the Blue Jackets. It's unclear who he will replace in the lineup but he had two assists in six games this season.
