Legault appeared to suffer a laceration on his hand during a second-period scrum in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 22-year-old rookie defenseman left a trail of blood on the ice as he skated off to the dressing room. He has since undergone successful surgery to repair multiple torn extensor tendons on his right hand and will be sidelined for three to four months.

Gostisbehere has only played one game in the past three weeks, battling through injuries, but will return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Washington Capitals. The 32-year-old Gostisbehere has been impressive offensively when in the lineup this season, with seven points (1G / 6A) in six games. He is expected to return to his familiar spot on the team's top powerplay unit.

The 32-year-old Gostisbehere has been impressive offensively when in the lineup this season, with seven points (1G / 6A) in six games. There has not been a concrete timeline for his potential return to the lineup.
